I watch Dr. Fuhrmans videos regularly. I bought some of his books. So far, I have lost 60lbs of weight and bought my A1C down from 11.8 to 5.5. I do not get sick any more. I am more active and my strength and stamina has increased dramatically which motivates me to work out harder than I thought possible. I can not believe how much my osteoarthritis has improved! When I heard Dr. Fuhrman say that anti-aging is possible, I had to agree with that. I am living proof he is right. I feel much better now than I did 10-15 yrs ago. When people ask me what I did to improve this much I tell them it was two things: 1) My faith in God. 2) I discovered Joel Fuhrman.

Dr Fuhrman, your explanation of why lowering daily food intake to only what is needed is the best I have ever heard, and why it would have an impact on longevity. Having your understanding daughter, Jenna, ask questions, to promote clearer explanations, is such a great asset to your podcast.

When I started weights I lost loads of weight but I was eating more. I lost bone and muscles even though I felt stronger. (According to the machine at the gym). Gym instructor said that happens when you lose weight. I was losing nice and steady over a year.

Re: Testing for ALA, is looking at its presence in blood samples an adequate indication? Some researchers have tested for its presence in muscular tissue and found drastically different results. In other words could "low" ALA in vegan's blood samples merely be an artifact of the testing?

An important point is that fiber doesn't mean less absorption of nutrients. It'll make a slower process, but they'll all still get there. At least when eating out of appetite and not out of boredom or something.

I would love to hear Dr Fuhrman define the differences between Allopathy and Naturopathy. Also how Natural Hygiene and Nutritarian fit into these two opposing perspectives of healthcare. I would also love to hear him explain why so many are "allegedly" reversing their chronic diseases as carnivores and what they have to look forward to in the long term. Jordan Peterson needs correcting by a professional.

@@tnvol5331 I don’t think there were any cases of people improving their health with the Kempner rice diet with out losing weight. I can’t find any cases like this. But I suppose it is possible that some people experienced benefit removing salt, saturated fat, and animal protein, despite no weight loss. But removing unsaturated fat from plants will certainly make people less healthy.
@tnvol5331
@tnvol5331 Ай бұрын
@@vincentpolaczuk4240 some of the patients with severe disease were underweight to begin with so it appears it was the lack of sodium, fat, cholesterol, etc that accounted for the cures. I think it was unusual that Kempner did not use brown rice (which is considered healthier) and instead used white rice.

Processed food manufacturers need to hear from consumers that less ADDED chemicals, sugar, oil and salt is wanted in their food products. Why is there so much ADDED sugar in everything, even bread. That's just crazy Email, text, tweet or phone your favorite producer of poison and let them know consumers want less salt, oils and sugars in their products. Let their customer service department know that all the extra added salt, oil and sugar is not necessary or desired and is causing health issues. Reduce or eliminate highly processed food from your diet if you can. Go vegan for your health, whole food plant based. Go vegan for the animals. Go vegan for the planet. Go vegan and be healthier and happier. A lower risk of heart disease and cancer for you and a better planet for everyone, human and animals. Eating healthy is not a diet it is a healthy life style. Go out and look around. The vast majority of people you see are obese or al least over weight. People do not need to be fat shamed BUT being over weight is not healthy and leads to a host of illnesses. When you look around you can see all the unhealthy people without taking a blood test or a fitness test "NORMAL" for the average American is "UNHEALTHY" The health of society is in decline.
@flyshacker

The best way to convince them is NOT buying their products. The trouble is, most people are not health conscious. They think better tasting bread (with sugar and salt) must be healthier for them because it tastes better. Really, the only bread that is nutritious is sprouted bread like Ezekiel and Manna bread, and when you get the version of Ezekiel bread without salt, the bread tastes like cardboard. If more people bought the “cardboard tasting” bread, the companies would make more of it. But most people buy what tastes best. So the companies will keep making what sells! Regardless of how many letters and emails anyone sends. Money talks! They are in business to meet the needs of buyers. The buyers need to change their buying habits in order to change the companies!!

The poisinous dart frogs in costa rica would kill or make you sick from touching them. Unlike venomous snakes and spiders that bite. Apparently the frogs are poisonous because of what they eat, while venom is part of the regular dna metabolism and not reliant on what they eat. (Source PBS video I watched in the last month?).
