Al Fadi and Dr. Jay continue their discussion asserting that the 5 different canons of the Qur’an are littered with problems. Not only do the various versions have geographical and timeline discrepancies, but their creators seemingly construct new collections that suit popular opinion.
Certain texts are removed, others are added. The various versions of the Qur’an were written hundreds of years after Muhammad’s life though it is accepted in Muslim tradition that these authors knew Muhammad. Only certain scripts were eventually selected as official Qira’ats hundreds of years after they were written. The variety of selections and the arbitrary nature of their compilation confirms the unreliability of the Qur’an’s content over the centuries.
