Good morning! ☕️ thank-you for the lovely tour - your planter box and morning glories look amazing - any luck growing morning glory seed outdoors after frost, I have a pack - Grandpa Ott - but I’m too lazy to start from seed inside - and thank-you so much Rej for panning to the cats 🐈 occasionally 😂

@@urchinsushi2041 morning glories will start from seed after frost. Yes just so the ground has warmed where you plant!

Hi Love the window box planter. Yes, when you find plants so beautiful that will tolerate the heat nowadays, then go with it. Mmm...figs are on my list. In a pot😂💞🍻

@@LindasFlowersandVegetablesGard Linda what a summer for learning for me …but that’s the most fun of gardens ever changing and reacting to Mother Nature! Where do you garden ?

I'm going to try some Angelonia somewhere next year! My containers have done really well. I think it's because I have watered so carefully since we have had so little rain. The white splash geraniums have done beautifully! I planted a nepata this year and love it! It has been a pollinator magnet! This summer has certainly been a learning experience.

@@BACKYARDBLOOMSWITHKIM Kim as I love your gardens. Our heat and drought have been a learning experience for me first time in 50 years of gardening g I’ve had to water weekly or even twice weekly. A bit scary. But the reason I started my channel was to be connected to others as passionate or even more passionate than me! Watching you garden it’s reassuring we gardening people just have tons of energy and love caregiving of the plot of ground we’ve been given. I’ve had fish and pond plants and then the river would flood and yuk I ended up with carp and snapping turtles lol. I’m considering at least pond plants next season. I’m sure you’ve some great plans in your head too. Thsnks for watching and commenting have a great week!!

Summer drought in my area made plants look dry and exhausted so I cut back many plants. Drought in OH, WV, KY this year.

my black tower elderberry was also disappointing, and although mine is in a huge pot, I've given it about 3 years to perform. Not sure if being in a pot had anything to do with it, or lack of full sun (it's in part sun), but I'm giving up and thinking that I'm moving it out of the gorgeous pot. Not sure where yet, as I don't have a really good spot for it, maybe I'll give it away, but I really wanted it to be a winner. And it's just not.

@@annadam Anna mine has yet to have many blooms or berries. Outside of me neglecting to water it in this drought I loved its upright narrow form and its leaf color. Mine is 3 perhaps you find a spot in your garden give it a year as I will see if mine recovers 🤞🤞🤞and if yours shows any giddy up in its performance I thought perhaps mine wasn’t getting enough sun last year but wow this year told me it’s in a hot spot. Or give it away put it on compost it’s your plant and your garden we can just do that with any plant that is not bringing joy!! Keep me posted on your decision. I’ve thrown away many plants and prolly always will I’m running out of gardening friends who have space for my rejects🤪🫣😂. I do like have gardening friends like you to share thoughts about specific plants funny how other friends who don’t garden just look smile and wonder what the heck we talk about. Now I’m excited to hear what you find when you remove it from the pot !!!
