As a Serbian myself must say we always joked about once moved outside of our country we realize how over educated we actually are because of very hard and demanding educating system we had from Yugoslavia to this day. So our people have easy time advancing anywhere around the world especially in USA. Therefore foreign investors finally realized that, and started mass employing us in every single field. Half of my friends who are still living in Serbia work for foreign company in the field of programming. In my opinion this means soon or later Serbia will start having its own high technology development and production.

That used to be but is going down. Yes the system is well designed and democratic in comparison to germanic system (we also had that before 1958) wtere poor kids are forced into dual system in 5th grade middle class to real schools and rich to Gymnasiums from which you can go to University. But with Serbia the problem is that form is OK but the content is rotted, education can not be excepion from whole society. So on PISA tests we have Slovenia beating Germany in 2 of 3 categories and Serbia with the same system but empty content is far from both.

As a Serbian, I would like to add few more details so that people can understand better. - From political standpoint EU approval rates are lowest in the last 30 years, around 30% and going down. Simply people are tired of EU double standards and hipocracy in many cases. Wars in the 90s, Bombing of Serbia in 1999, Kosovo and Metohija (full name of so called "kosovo"), Corona Virus, War in Ukraine...in every case EU is hostile to use, that behave like we are some EU colony. We have our sovereign interest as every sovereign country should have. Currently BRICS is slowly becoming an alternative. They are far more balanced on political issues compared to EU colony approach - From Economy standpoint, it is true that EU is our biggest trading partner, but China is becoming more and more important to us. In the future they will become our biggest traiding partner I dont doubt it. Simply EU economy is not in good shape mostly becouse they become USA colony and lost their sovereignty. China is helping us a lot in infrastructure projects and changing our life style in the country. A lot of people (including me) work in Belgrade where wages are higher, but live in other towns, cities and villages inside Serbia where cost of living is two or three times cheaper. This is only available thanks to our cooperation with China and I am very greatfull for that. When it comes to Russia, we are like brother countries through centuries, but currently we are not using all trade potential simple becouse EU and USA constanly pressure us not to do so. One more reason why their approval rates are so low. After Ukraine war ends, I am sure that trade with Russia will skyrocket. - From Cultural standpoint, we just dont like current state in EU. We are Orthodox Christianity country with strong family values and we just dont like this Woke culture, LGBT(plus what ever letters), transganderism...etc. If EU countries wants that ok, but we dont. We want to improve our birth rate which is better than most of Europe but still very low. Without good birth rate there wont be good economy in the future, that is simple law and Europe is bad example what happens when you have low birth rate and you try to fix that by importing migrants from all over the world. So in the end dont worry, we do NOT want to enter EU anyway.

And Poland got like 20 000 dollars of wealth per adult citizen. There's only Slovenia in the entire ex communist Europe with higher wealth per adult citizen than Montenegro. Montenegro with 630K people got same money from tourism every single year like the yearly budget of Belgrade, a city of 1,7 million in it's metro area. Any Serb in the comment section saying Serbia is doing well is an SNS bot. I can promise you only the Belgrade economy is doing (relatively) well, the rest of Serbia is being depopulated because there is almost no work anywhere outside of Belgrade. This is causing massive issues in pollution, traffic, rental/real estate prices in the city because everyone is flooding in and the infrastructure of the city is simply not built for this amount of people. We are the 2nd biggest city in Europe without a metro-system and the gridlock on the streets lasts almost the entire day instead of just morning/afternoon rushes. Air quality is awful because of all the cars and how many green spaces are being cleared to make way for new office/residential builidngs. We are top 5 in Europe for most expensive real estate and rental prices relative to local salary. On top of this there is severe inflation of staple goods (especially groceries) and even people in Belgrade are left with nothing at the end of the month. We are having massive issues and Vucic's government is too corrupt to deal with them. Every opportunity to make a quick dollar they jump on, there is absolutely no long term planning.

Here is a question for the EU.. Would you like another Romania or Bulgaria? Or would you like a little more richer country? Imagine USA hating it's own state like Alabama or California... EU hates Serbia... There is something definitely wrong with EU🤕

Come to Serbia and see that this video is ordered and it's not good. Maybe in Belgrade center, but a little south you can meet a lady that receives 50 euros a month working at a shop.
@MM-xn7ts5 ай бұрын
Nobody works for 50 euros, maybe for 400 minimum.
@despot225 ай бұрын
Tough to be true for hypothetically mentioned lady. No one goes that low if she was regularly in working service (but could be possible out of legal labour market), she could be paid not higher than 400-500 eur outside Belgrade. In addition to that, aberage salary reached 850 eur, but median salary in Serbia amounts around 600 eur, in reality around 500 eur.

Our political leaders and their criminal companions who own construction companies, they bought or built with dirty money had a great year. People, not so much. Prices have never been higher, and the gap between the rich and the poor has never been wider. I already mentioned who the rich are in the first sentence. I don't know about the bots in the comments... Who was your year, mates? Good? Think that TVP was more concerned about combined Russian and Chinese influence during most of the video. That was the main purpose, to mark investments from East to unconventionally behaved Serbia as a potential threat. If they wanted to scan Serbian economy properly, they would make totally different video.
