Because HaNahash (that was its name not Nahash) hated the idea of mankind. He wanted to see mankind destroyed because he thought God made a mistake in creating Man. But he was by no means the only one. There is a whole slew of divine and angelic beings that want mankind obliterated but HaNahash is the originator, leader, and founder of the movement. That’s what it means when God says He’ll place enmity between the offspring of the woman and those of HaNahash. That offspring is all the other beings who sided with it.

Nahas = Serpant or Snake. Nagas = Half human / half serpent beings in Sanskrit Naga = Buddhism semi divine half human half snake being The implication that the Serpent was the bringer of Truth or Wisdom is Gnosticism. There's nothing ground breaking here. Pretty basic stuff. All the fallen angels had truth and wisdom with them. They know the plan created by God before they fell. Therefore they know how to turn people away from it. Don't be deceived yourself.

People don't need this garbage to confuse themselves about God's Word. Scripture says that the serpent deceived Eve to get her to eat fruit from the forbidden tree. It makes no difference whether the serpent was a snake or a dog, a bird or whatever. The same with the forbidden fruit... Who cares if it was an apple, peach, fig or whatever? The point IS that this is telling how mankind disobeyed God's instruction and caused God to put a curse on the world. Bull. God always asks people to admit of their wrongdoing and to engage in introspection. Adam and Eve failed in that regard. Had they admitted their failure and repented all would have been set right.

What the serpent truly represents? Truth? Why not literally a snake? Did not an angel of the Lord appear before Moses as a burning bush? Familiarize yourself with Revelation 22:18-19, and similar admonitions in Deuteronomy 4:1-2 and Proverbs 30:5-6.

Man is in the Garden of Eden with cloning. Will he choose the knowledge and play God, or will he choose life and be wise about the use of knowledge? Only with correct wisdom is knowledge power. Cloning and DNA changes were happening in the Garden. Now they must face the Creator of the Universe. Eve did not par-take of the knowledge, she was wisdom.
