@@MichaelJGetsTheJobDone Settlers 2 Gold edition (which i presume is in the 10th anniv) has a world conquest campaign. Basically every map is a continent. If you youtube it, you'll see a FEW walkthrough of it...

Hi there. I came across this last night and have a question. This is one of my all time favorite games, I still own the disks for the original and the 10th anniversary edition but for some reason i cannot get them to run on my newr pc's. Its like theres a compatability problem with newer software. Is there an updated version of the game available somewhere? I don't wanna have to drag my ancient PC out of the loft just to play this again Thanks for any help or suggestions you may have.

Edit the shortcut and try some of the compatability modes.

I didn't even try my old version of the game. Firstly, I've no CD drive anymore. Secondly, my version of the game wasn't in English anyway. I simply bought the game again on gog.com . Games bought there usually work on current day PCs, and so did this one. There's even a sale right now! You can get it for as low as 2.50 Euros.
