I am think Bathsheba was bathing using a jar or bucket of water as opposed to a bathtub that we think of, I roof back then would not have supported the weight, and the servants would have complained of the work necessary to carry the water?

I believe that David was the one on the roof. There was a lecturer that parsed it out carefully trying to push back against the notion that she was a seductress. Normally I would be suspicious of her schpiel but she did a fair job of backing her point. Basically David's last name was Weinstein

Unlikely that a respectable married lady would be stripping off for a bath out in the open where she could be seen. I interpret it that she’s going to the ritual bath, the mikveh. This is usually done by married ladies who aren’t getting pregnant, to cleanse the “stain” of infertility. When a married lady has her period, that means she hasn’t got pregnant, so she goes to the mikveh, ostensibly to cleanse the pollution of blood, but, at a deeper level, to connect with the life force. That’s why it says, later in the chapter, that Bathsheva was “cleansed of her uncleanness”. King David sees her going to, or coming from, the ritual bath, washing her hands or whatever, and he puts two and two together. He deduces a) she’s married b) she isn’t getting pregnant c) she’s trying for a baby d) her husband isn’t making it happen. He cures her of her infertile state. This then creates the embarrassing predicament that she’s going to be pregnant, but obviously not by Uriah the Hittite, who has been away all this time. King David tries to cover up by ordering Uriah to sleep with Bathsheba, but Uriah refuses, giving a lame excuse to do with esprit de corps in the army. Thus, Uriah a) disobeys a royal command and b) fails in his marital duty to his wife. He’s a useless husband and suffers the consequences when King David orders his troops to land him in it during the next campaign.
