I live in the US and for some reason, Jon Richardson started showing up on my recommendations on KZbin a few days ago. Before then, I'd never even heard of him or about these shows. But, thank God for those recommendations. I freakin love, Jon Richardson. I have spent the past two fucking days watching various KZbin videos about him. He's freakin hilarious! The one thing he and I have in common is OCD. I watched that documentary about his battle with OCD and I could personally relate to his frustrations. And his bit about, "Putter and Leavers." Fits me and everyone I know perfectly!! ALL "Putters" are OCD. I too dislike "Leavers." Haha In the process of becoming a new fan of Jon's, I've also became an instant fan of various shows that are aired in the UK.. The Last Leg, Room 101, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, and Countdown... You guys have the best sense of humor in the world! Just the fact of being allowed to say, fuck, dick, shit, cock, etc... on network television is beyond unbelievable. Americans are too busy with sticks up their asses to even come close to such a sense of humor as that. These shows are freakin hilarious! I'm crying with laughter every single video I watch. Nothing even close to that here in America. So, thank you for the laughs!! And, Jon Richardson needs to travel more often and cross an ocean or two every so often. And share his talent with the rest of the world. Haha...

Isn't Jon Richardson scared of flying and apparently air travel is not a consideration for OCD sufferers.

If you like this, you should watch "Would I lie to you?," "Nevermind the Buzzcocks," "QI," "Whose line is it anyway?" "Big Fat Quiz of the year," "Have I got news for you?" or "Mock the week," as they are all pretty stellar shows with comedians at a panel poking fun at each other. I love being British.
@cokerainbows5 жыл бұрын
+slap of reality...yeah, he was up in Scotland a few years back. I've seen Frankie Boyle, Billy Connolly and Jon and he was brilliant live. I honestly wasn't expecting him to be as good as Franky and Billy, certainly Billy as he's well known for being an excellent comedian but i'd been watching him since i was about 3 and that was 24 years of waiting to get a chance to go to one of his shows so in comparison, was only a year or so of wanting to see Jon live.... but yeah, Jon, excellent, had a right laugh. The show is mostly about OCD so it was very relatable. Hope you get a chance to see him at some point!

British TV consists of 60% UK, 30% US and 10% Aus so everyone and their uncle likes to think they can do American or Australian accents. Usually they are quite shit but at least have the intonation right and just need a little guidance to perfect the nuances, as evidenced by the number of Brit actors who play American parts in films. In the UK shows like Home and Away, Neighbours, Cell Block H and The flying doctors were or are hugely popular with adults and kids shows like Pugwall and Round the Twist were shit that me and my friends would run home from school to watch at 4pm in the 90's. So we kinda grew up with Aussie stuff.

@FunkayMonkay-i9o7 жыл бұрын
It's an 8 out of 10 cats series called "Cats do Countdown". John & Sean are usually the team captains every week with special guests for each team, a special guest(s) in dictionary corner and sometimes Joe Wilkinson does a special round.
@TheWiseGrif7 жыл бұрын
The regular Countdown is still going; this was created as a one-off thing as a crossover between the two shows, but it became so popular that it was picked up as a regular series also, so essentially there's two versions: Regular Countdown, and this, which is more about the comedy.
