The joint FBI & NYPD 'R.I.C.O.' investigation of New York City gas-station mogul Gurmeet Singh Dhinsa.
In 1997, the FBI and the NYPD began a joint-investigation into Gurmeet Dhinsa for gas pump rigging. However, they soon realized Dhinsa was more than just a corrupt businessman; he ruled his mob-like operation with brutal force, kidnapping and killing wayward employees and any family members who questioned their deaths. Agent had to work their way into Dhinsa's violent world.

To come to America seeking refuge, opportunity and to be embraced and accepted by the community only then to betray the very people who welcomed you in with open arms with brutal acts of violence and terror is unconscionable and cruel. Unfortunately there are individuals in this world whose sole purpose in life is to exploit and take advantage of others any and every way they can regardless of who they hurt. The saying " Some people take kindness for weakness," is a sad reality but is all too often true.

Most Indian gas Station, restaurant, stationary ,and small factory owners ,in the west get rich by making their fellow country men work like slaves, and paying 2 to 5 dollars per hour. These are people that is not educated, and with no green card. Especially the punjabi men, from previous generations. That were here in the late 80's to early 2000. The owners will be living in a mansions , while they suck all the blood out of these poor people. They become members of chamber of commerce, uphold indian values and traditions and support similar associations, etc. Many of these ordinary punjabi men, and others have similar experience, even intimidation, retaliation, deportation, etc. There for they don't talk. Disclaimer: It is solely based on the author's life experience. Not claiming all Indian men/women who owns business practices such evil deed!😏

Woah! How nauseating is the thought that even NYPD didn't bother to give protection to their witness Sathinder Singh! When enlightenment dawned upon them one was murdered and the second one was in morbid fear! At last they gave protection to the man Dindsa wanted to eliminate. Having said that, we Indians are very proud of the Sikh community in the USA and Canada. Criminal elements who have illegally slipped into your borders however, have thoroughly shamed their compatriots back home. Wish authorities find such elements and deport them.

There’s more to fraud than “he shorted us this one time, cuff him, Lou.” You need to have an entire investigation that would consist of audits from people who inspect the gas pumps measurements, and multiple trips to this gas station to have a consistent shortage every time. A handful of times can be argued in court that it was incompetence, but if you have multiple years is a solid case.

I don't like the way they are making these Indian blokes look passive and almost weak. I know lots of guys from India and many second or third generation citizens. I have a few on the football team I coach I find that they are typical American types. The ones I know are hard working, intelligent, athletic. They are mild mannered and easy going. However they are very far from passive and will go hands on if pushed to it.

@@gwens5093I have worked in the justice field in my past. I get what you're saying though. But not the thirty years ago so much as if you are a brand new immigrant to a new country and speak English as a second language it could be difficult to navigate the American justice system and make it hard to know that the FBI and local law enforcement are here to assist in murders of everyone and could be easily taken advantage of by corrupt people who could tell them they will be imprisoned by the police if they go forward.

All Sikh males are members of the Sikh brotherhood or khalsa. The khalsa is an integral part of the traditional Sikh religion. One of the precepts of the khalsa is the prohibition against cutting body hair. Thus orthodox Sikhs wear a turban to hide their scalp and also have full beards. Thus it is nearly always the case that a Sikh male with a turban will also have a beard. Hindu males generally do not wear turbans, except at their weddings.
