One thing i really like about this channel is that the videos don't seem over edited. The conversation (i don't know if it's scripted) has such a natural feel and flow. There are so many videos, on other channels, that you can tell were pieced together like a puzzle, with a cut like every two or three words. I never see that here.

I saw Ed play in December when he opened for The Darkness in Camden, London and what he can do with a looper is phenomenal. He only played for 30 minutes, but it was amazing to watch. This, to me, looks like a piece of equipment which has actually been developed and used by the artist endorsing it, unlike a lot of guitars and amps out there. Is $1200 really that much, when you look at how much people spend on hacking the latest phone etc.

@@84kjk when he started playing guitar it was his dream to open for The Darkness. They have been friends for years and so when The Darkness toured Permission To Land’s 20th Anniversary last year, Ed got in touch and asked if he could open to tick it off his bucket list. He came on stage and introduced himself “Hi, I’m Ed and I’m a singer songwriter from Suffolk. You may have heard some of my songs, but if not I’m only on for 30 minutes.” He watched the Darkness show from the side of the stage singing every word. He then popped on stage and joined them for Love Is Only A Feeling. There’s a great video of it here on KZbin if you search it.

Personally I love the damn thing, and am having a blast but it needs some major updates before it's worth the price. The workflow is just too specific at the moment, very little customization available. Having that said, It fits my workflow (most of the time) as is.

I’ve been wanting to loop bass and guitar into separate amps. I’m sure this unit will do that. I just wonder how players have done it in the past. I imagine 2 separate loopers would be hard to sync.

This one will definitely do that. And I definitely wouldn’t wanna have to sync 2 loppers. Some of the boss loopers have routing options too though, so I imagine it’s similar.

I think it is worth the price. I tried to build my own using various chained loopers into a mixing board etc. etc. WORKS Great. But it ended up end of the day costing close to Eds. I like how put together the product is. Im keeping my chained loopers cause they're working, but second chance could do it over? Id spend the extra penny in this case.

It seems like a great looper, I just don't think it's worth the money imo. I actually use two loopers to fatten up some live banking for bandmates (mx5 looper, and an "afford-a-pedal" from amazon) and with bith if those i am able to do just about everything I've seen people do with this looper and it's a fraction of the cost

@guitarjonathan Same here, I think these things are fun to play with and listen to others play with, and realistically if I had that much disposable income for toys I would probably get one (so just gotta hope to get a winning lotto ticket to magically be given to me, lol). But yeah, in actual practice, I think the majority of us that use loopers need pretty basic setups to work with. I'm also not huge on a looper that's the size of my pedal board, as is the two I use fit on one board together so it's convenient for travel when I need to take them places

Gonna sound like an ass here but i need to say it. When i see solo performers using loopers to simulate several players, instruments or even a full band, while it's cool to watch at first, it gets tiring and usually boring to watch. I'd rather see someone solo with a simpler set up. Its like too much time goes into creating everything. Just get a band together. It's way more entertaining for the crowd.

I think there’s some truth to that. There’s a few people I’ve seen that make it really entertaining, but generally what you said is valid, in my opinion.

The people who are really good at it, like Sheeran himself, work the creation of the loops into the performance so well that it’s just part of the song. I don’t want to take anything away from these guys because I like this channel, but using a looper in an engaging way is its own learned art just like learning to play the guitar, and most of the people demo’ing these loopers don’t have much idea how to do that part well.

I like the idea of the pedal...but I sure wouldn't pay an extra $800 bucks to have Sheeran spray painted on the back of the unit. I'll stick with my jamman.
