The Sheldon Arms - is this £10.95 BREAKFAST BUFFET better than TOBY CARVERY'S? We find out! G B

Visited this place for a breakfast buffet on a weekend. Though it's a few pounds pricier than Toby's offerings, the price includes drinks (hot drinks and juices) and extras such as pastries, youghurt, nuts, granola, and cereals. Also very posh jams and honey in little jars!
The Greek yoghurt and whole nuts were a good start, as were the fresh and crisp pastries in convenient bite-sized portions. Also really liked the thick, white bread with butter and strawberry jam - such an indulgence!
We enjoyed the hot food deck esp the hash browns and sausages - though the latter weren't as good as Toby's and there weren't any Yorkshire puddings! The bacon wasn't browned enough and was too pale. Vegan sausages did not taste good :(
All in all, in spite of elements of the breakfast which weren't as good as Toby's, it was worth spending the extra few pounds for the additional items.

You can not aruge with that really . You wont get this cheap in Australia at all ,they wouls do alot of pretentious cafes out of there job lol 🤣🤣👍🇦🇺💖 Just blown away ,how much more you get and there hospitality is terrific.

Agree the bacon was kinda pale but the sausages weren't too bad :)

The bacon was so undercooked a good vet could have it back up and oinking.

Suggest you try Brewers Fayre instead of Toby. Around £10 but drinks and cereals are included in the price. Toby is let down by very limited choice of spreads, not even proper butter, and marmalade and fruit jam in open dishes.

Thanks, I think we have tried Brewers Fayre when we stayed at Premier Inn at some point. They do have more stuff compare to Toby's but we love the Yorkshire puddings at Toby's! And the sausages are very good too :)

Melt it with a lighter or leave it out for 30 minutes (dependent on temperature) for an average room temperature of 21 degrees Celsius!

Nah, not for breakfast! Houses of Parliament Sauce (created somewhere in Robin Hood territory) is wack! All about tomato ketchup!
