James Mercer what a voice.Love the shins , although there is no stability in the line up they are basically James Mercer and guests. Lyrically he can be rather surreal although I think I have the depth and measure of this one!!

I love his performance but the editing for these types of videos is always god awful. Really you only need one stationary camera with himself and the guitar in frame. What is the point of jump editing back and forth between all the shots when he is the sole performer? It's an acoustic performance, not a music video. If you're going to go with such pretentious editing, may as well show him tapping his foot, or the back of his head, or inside the soundhole of the guitar.
