About the DANA, I too was concerned when I saw all the mud being swept into the drains. Also, I kept thinking why am I not seeing rescue teams from the USA, as they respond to all tragedies around the world. And finally, I was at the grocery store in my neighborhood and heard a Spanish couple and their accent sounded familiar and asked them if they were from the Barcelona area. Yep.

I would think the military would come in with heavy equipment to clear such piles of garbage in affected areas of spain. I’m surprised to see so much bamboo.

Gonna take issue with the susipp comment - in that it asserts two FALSE things (no help arriving in the Valencia area until 5 days later; international offers of assistance refused) - and then uses those two lies to conclude that all politicians are the same. Trump is the greatest threat to world security that presently exists. That so many people voted for him is a sad indictment of the ability of propaganda to win against cold hard facts. Incidentally any right thinking person is anti abortion in the same way they’re anti having teeth extracted. Almost everyone supports the right to have teeth extracted should they so choose, but prefer not to have someone make that decision for them.

Our (San Diego) household waste water and outdoor drains are two completely different systems. Not knowing Valencia, I don’t know how their system works (if everything goes into one system?). What a huge mess.

En aquellos terribles momentos se hizo, los ciudadanos, lo que pudieron con el agua . Los técnicos de la zona debieron informar del riesgo del barro en el alcantarillado. En España cada año hay inundaciones por el clima Mediterráneo, que hacer? ......nunca hubo información de que hubiera este mal resultado de embozar el sistema de desague.😮🤔🤨😒
