There was a case where a guy and his gf were brutally assaulted. The gf ended up dead but the guy survived long enough for the cops to find him. Instead of taking him to the hospital immediately they decided to take this poor guy and interrogate him like he had something to do with everything that happen. After hours they finally took him to the hospital and he ended up passing away a short while later. He went through torture, having to watch the true criminals kill his gf, and on top of everything he was traumatized even more by the people who were suppose to help him and in the end he was a completely innocent victim and they were treating him like he was the perpetrator. It makes you wonder what if they got him help immediately if he would still be here?? I forgot the poor guys name but after watching the brutal interrogation my views of law enforcement changed completely. Worse of all the detectives weren't held responsible for what happen....

This doc had me hyper ventilating I was so shocked and confused. The gaslighting was terrible, I felt gaslit. But I have to say the love story that came from this, absolutely beautiful! Only joy and blessings to their family!

Can we talk about how the FBI agent Sesma, who was investigating this case, had also dated Aaron's ex?? Also, Denise said she heard multiple people, Mullen even said he didn't act along. I don't know about yall, but something's not cleaning the buttermilk. We know that law enforcement protect their own, and this feels like a huge conspiracy.

But the reason it's so news worthy is the rarity of what happened. It's not a doc about how police are in general.

Thankfully, and luckily for the couple, Dublin PD actually did their job and followed the evidence. I live in central California, how do I not remember this case from when it happened?

The sad reality is that a $2.5 million settlement is below the average settlement amount paid out for law enforcement practices. The highest I believe is in the $50 million range but because so many more at $50k, $100k or $500k, which while might sound like a lot, the fact remains almost none of it is paid out by the individual officers or even the departments themselves, but paid by the city. It's already in their budget. That's how common these settlements are. And this is also why there's very little change because there's not enough incentive.

This is law enforcement at its worst. They are , as usual, looking at the wrong people.

The huskins both strong and lucky. Strong in they didn’t fold under pressure and lucky muller was caught by someone else. There are countless other victims and “suspects” who get railroaded into making detractions, confessions, and or witness statements.

I watched the episodes last night. I was in the shock that Vallejo police officers and FBI agents still have jobs. Calling the whole thing a hoax when it wasn't should be a fireable offense.

I’m born and raised in Vallejo and it was never a “nice place to live.” Maybe in the 80’s it was but not for a long time. The city went bankrupt years ago in 2008 and the city went to trash. I thought VPD only targeted minorities but I guess not. This is how VPD treats people. The police have always been corrupt and failed to protect/serve. I lived in Vallejo at the time when this happened but have moved since. Ironically, I live the next city over from Dublin (the city of the officer who helped solved the case) now. That area they lived in Vallejo is called Mare Island which is a new gentrified area that was formerly a naval military base. I would never move back to Vallejo. I don’t even visit. It’s full of crime, abandoned commercial properties, and unkept housing/streets.

The police focused on Aaron. No it’s the police spokesperson who owes the victims of an apology for falsely accusing them. He was so bold about accusing them

Does anyone know why when she was walking to her dads house after being released, she is carrying 2 large bags (looks like a weekener bag and a purse) - also she looks like too calm not just from sedatives but walking like coming from an errand, I don’t think they explained this? I totally believe her, but I was just very curious about this, this specifically made me doubt at the beginning

Just watch this documentary on Netflix. I am extremely disappointed in the Vallejo police department. Thank goodness I don’t live there. To think that the policeMEN WERE NOT disciplined, is shameful. And congratulations to the female officer/detective that was able to connect the dots on this kidnapping and rape. They need more females like her on the force.👏🏻

What a nice kidnapper 😂 kidnapping her with her purse a backpack and a bag seen in the footage where she's walking to her parents house after he was nice enough to drop her off as well...why did the kidnapper want to prove her innocence and why was the IP address never searched? This still feels planned to me!
