Been following Teal forever 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼 Although I support her reasoning to (home school) her child, I’ve decided to send mine to the same broken system I came from. I’ve raised my children with more self awareness, critical thinking skills, support and a sense of self worth than I was ever given and set them loose on the public school system to bring the mf down. We are a warrior family in this cause and I’m helping to take the shit down. We’re in the trenches together infecting the teachers with a higher state of consciousness and the children with the backbone to help change the system.

Teal’s approach to healing through nature sounds intriguing, but I wonder-can we achieve similar emotional breakthroughs without leaving our daily environments? Not everyone has the option to travel to a retreat.

Hi - the completion process she talks about - you can look it up. Best.
@Venus_BeaverАй бұрын
Even if you go and touch a tree for five minutes, you were connecting with nature. You don’t necessarily have to be immersed in a jungle. You can put plants in your house, you can go to a body of water. You can breathe in air intentionally and consciously. You can sit in the sun. That is all nature.
@8Freakish827 күн бұрын
Yes just get out of the toxic dynamic first and start working on yourself ❤ u can listen to nature sounds through your headphones love. You will have a tree and a piece of grass somewhere right? Exactly, become creative, start thinking "how can i create that for myself" you can also do things like somatic releases and rewiring too. Somiainternational, irene lyon, the workoutwitch and i bet there are many many more ❤️ also fascia releases, embodiment work/courses. Healing happens on 3 levels, mind, soul and physical. All starts with your internalized beliefs

Teal, you mentioned that modern psychology often focuses on eliminating triggers. How do you suggest we start embracing them instead of running away from them? Any practical tips?
@auroraborealis6398Ай бұрын
Start with identifying them
@waykee3Ай бұрын
Because it’s a toxic culture. The culture has built that even psychologist that know what truly works would be scorned as incorrect. It would be too “insensitive”. It’s like the system out there is getting worse by suppressing the actual root issues and it’s nearly impossible to correct it. I know because I know personally I have the courage to talk about it but people clearly think I’m the “devil”. It’s a paradigm thing that the collective seem to be fallen into (their “black hole”) and so, it’s nearly impossible to convince them otherwise.
@sfmagnolia28 күн бұрын
Yes, start identifying them and then give them recognition, and lastly thank them for their service, give them love and let them know you can take it from there, move on. Give them metta.

While I find the idea of triggers pointing to unresolved issues fascinating, what if you're constantly triggered by something but can’t seem to identify the root cause? How do you work through that?
@S.G.W.VerbeekАй бұрын
@HouseofKings-i4f I deal with that by taking life easy and having faith in that clarity will come. I have headaches most of the time, so thinking clearly is difficult.
@mohamedfahim5017Ай бұрын
I'd really suggest that you check out The Completion Process by Teal. The short answer is: you don't need to identify the root cause, at least not right away. Just deal with the feelings/the trigger itself and eventually (sometimes immediately) you'll know where they're coming from. It will be like an insight. Hope this helps!
@S.G.W.VerbeekАй бұрын

I got a question about purpose, cause I'm confused. I hope someone might be able to clarify this for me. I heard that a person's purpose is about their "medicine", something they already innately possess. Something they might not even realize they already embody. Something that is so natural to them, it's like who they are. This makes sense. But then I'm confused, cause here Teal is talking about values, and aren't values about stuff we don't have and are not taking for granted? Like if someone's is natural and gifted and skilled in argumentation for example, and using their mind. Wouldn't that person be valuing stuff like emotional connection or creativity or beauty, you know, stuff that they don't already have? So when that person is going about their day and choosing to spend their time in certain ways, would they be inclined to do what is natural (e.g. seek out interesting conversations with people) or what they're lacking (e.g. breathwork and abstract painting)? Wouldn't they feel good about doing both, but in different ways? When we're asked to think about "What makes hours pass like minutes?", isn't it both those things? I hope someone understands what I'm asking!
@korneelkАй бұрын
When we value something, we regard it as having worth to us because it is useful, important and/or beneficial. Values do not have to be about stuff you don't have per se. You could for example have a great friend and really value the connection and support you get from that relationship. I hope that clears it up for you.

Talking about public schools. As a single parent, I fought through government red tape while living on welfare and feeling the shame of stigmatization for it for 9 years in order to home school. After my car blew up when too much was going on in my life that I forgot to check the oil, I cycled to my job (which was compulsory to have as a welfare recipiant) as an after school care supervisor (4km there and 4km back every week day for 6 months) towing a bike trailer for my son (about 8 years old at the time) for when it rained and he had his own bike when it wasn't raining (so he cycled too). We were semi homeless living in other people's (3 different) homes after an earthquake in the area made affordable housing near impossible for single families to obtain as two parent families were preferred. All of this while suffering a severe disability every second day since age 16 that I've only just discovered now was misdiagnosed as depression. I endured all of this mental and physical torture just so that I could home school my son not out of fear of school, but I felt convinced that it was the best for both of us. He did go to regular school for a time. He ran away one morning before school because he didn't want to go. Glad to say, he's now 18 and I am so proud of him and myself for enduring some of the worst circumstances of western poverty while raising a child. We have a really good relationship and he's one of the smartest and wisest people I know. I say all of this to reflect on the human spirit to endure by sheer determination and prayer and to affirm what Teal says about public school. If you can afford to sell your home and downsize to afford home schooling, then do it and dont give a $#!T about what anyone else thinks. "Train up a child in the way he/she should go (not what we expect of them); even when he/she is old he/she will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6 (ESV)
