Hey thanks for making this! I use the MV7 but the usb on the back has become quite loose and sometimes falls out on its own. I am considering buying the MVX2U so I can use USBC instead (stronger connection) without buying a new microphone: 1. Do you think this is a good idea and could it provide better sounding audio? 2. My mic placement is a bit far from my PC and the USBC cable in the MVX2U box is only 3 feet, is there specific 10 foot USBC I should look to buy? I have heard not all USBC cables work with mics. Apologies for the wall of text lol, just want to get it right. Thanks in advance!

Got it! In terms of USB cables, it's not necessarily "quality" because it's a transfer of digital signal - so when looking at those, choose ones that are known for durability - and find one that has the least length you can get away with for signal stability. The MVX2U with your MV7 will provide you slightly better sound quality. Does this help you?

@@Dealcasters Hey thanks for getting back to me, much appreciated! I ended up just biting the bullet and buying the SM7db lol... Won't have to upgrade for a while, this thing sounds awesome! Just have to get the gate, eq, compressor, and (most importantly) give my office a bit of acoustic treatment. Thanks again!

You can, although I’m not sure why you’d want to? I’m curious about the use case.
