Kind of surreal to see someone walking arround my route to work in a travel vlog. Most tourists in Manchester just want to see where some famous 90's club stood then find its an apparthotel or small tesco now. Great video as always.

Norbreck Castle- Yikes! It was a shithole back in the 70s and 80s and I think matters haven't improved as time has passed. A firm favourite of mine for grab-a-granny nights and Elvis conventions. Edit to add: Glad to see Affleck's hasn't changed at all since 1985.

Ah, the Norbreck... Ended up there on a budget coach holiday to good old Blackpool. Interesting place, isn't it? Looks like Britannia found a few quid down the back of the sofa to buy a battleship's worth of grey paint to tart up the outside of the building. Shame they don't appear to have done much inside since my stay there. (Or, likely since the 1970's, judging by the decor when I was staying in it...) Highlights (lowlights?) included the night when some cretin set the fire alarm off at 00:30 leading to a fire evacuation which was an utter shambles.

Lived a street away from norbreck as a 16 year old remember hearing there was strippers there once so we snuck in after taking loads of Es i spent 3 hours hiding on a random balcony for no reason ah the days
