PERSOLALLY,I like the view where you only see the hood & the road! Can hear the motor better & get a better sense of speed. The inside view is quiet/muffled & can't see much! love the chevy!!! #1 in my book! Chevrolet makes all the engine's I love! from the sb400 & 327, & so many more!!! The ls 427 is so nice! In my opinion, No other automaker is even a close 2nd except maybe in a much higher price point!!! I would like to know more about the aluminum sb 400 from the gto??? I simply loved the 1973 sb 400 I once had, bored .030 over, stroked & balanced, was a monster!!! Anyways, great video, like always!!!

When you're filming shots from within the car, I can see the road sometimes but other times I'm seeing the top front of the hood & very little road. Just an FYI. I do enjoy your videos & this was certainly a different perspective. Love the car. Don't know if you have any tracks nearby, but I'd be curious to see how it behaves on the track.

I position the camera so that you can’t see the speeds and that means a higher shot. That’s why I showed some shots of the hood. People now days are always looking for a chance to call the police and report things. Plus when you 6’1 there is not much room to duck down a whole lot.

Hey Chuck, regarding the sun visor decals, ordered some and they started to peel off the visor (edges of decals peeled off). Got some replacements and wondered what you did to keep them from peeling off.

make sure when you still them you don't have the car out in the sun for a day or two so that in the inside doesn't get real hot. you may even leave the windows cracked in the garage. They need time to set if the car gets to hot after putting them on they won't hold very well. I found this out from a few people who had that issue as well. I never had that issue but I am sure its because I followed the guidelines without really knowing I was doing it.

I just got a 2017 Z51 Stingray Watkins Glen Grey Metallic, jet black interior, 3LT. Great deal - 25% off. Couldn’t resist. First ever Corvette. I have been tracking 2 times now. Incredible. But I also love it just out on the road trying to keep it under the speed limit (not trying too hard). I love this video. Is there any chance you could do this at a track (maybe even some racing shots - racing other cars) with shots of the ZR1 coming down the track from someone holding a camera so we could see the ZR1 come and go as well as inside shots. That would be an incredible video. Would also love to see video of how to change a stingray wheels from track wheels to touring wheels (I know you don’t own a stingray or if you could recommend a good video on - thanks).

The supercharger is too large to be sold in Europe. It’s 3” taller than previous generation and your laws are jacked up when it comes to that.

How long did it take before you received a build date? How long after you got your build date did it take before delivery of your new baby?

It was a month after the order was excepted but it was one of the first 50 made so there was some delay. It was about 3 weeks after the build date.

I noticed when you are changing up gears there seems to be a delay before the car actually changes gear, is this because of what mode you are in or is there a reason for this? That would frustrate me so much.

Yes, it was just in normal mode not performance mode that would speed up the delay. It’s not a dual cults but if does shift pretty fast in performance modes

Another great video. When you're in manual mode there seems to be a "long" lag time between when you click the paddle and when the shift actually happens. Is it really that long or is it just my perception?

If it’s in performance mode it shifts faster not like a dual clutch but it’s pretty quick.

Great video Chuck love how the car sounds. Although I love the ZR-1. I still think a true manual car makes it for more fun and the IN-Control feel. Nonetheless awesome car and awesome content as always!

Manual’s are allot of fun but they are fading fast. These cars are now becoming a handful and I know for me I am enjoying the car way too much to have to think about shifting it. You just slam the gas and hang on for the ride. 😁

Great car. Love the exhaust. I am a manual transmission guy but know I will have to go auto on the C8. Is the delayed shifting normal or a video issue?

It wasn’t in performance mode so there is some delay but when you get it into performance mode it shifts faster. Not like a dual clutch but it’s faster than what you seen in the video.

Radar detectors are legal there? Heh heh... Quick question for you. Am looking at my first Corvette. Total NEWB. With my age, this will probably be my only vette... so I have some questions. I will not be driving it aggressively. Will never do a track experience etc. So I am certain a ZR1 is not in my future. I have some things that I want, and can only get on the stingray, and possibly the grand sport. What ever I buy, I want the Spice interior package, and I want the Z06 wing and aero package in body color, and I want the chrome 706 7 spoke wheels.. I know I can get white, Torch Red, and Watkins Glen Gray in that configuration in a Stingray, and possibly in the Grand Sport. So between the two, which in your opinion is a better pick. I like the option of the magnetic shocks which I think can only be ordered in the GS. But not sure if it is worth the $ given the mundane nature of my driving. Plus cost wise, with all the discounting going on, they are not that different in price. I do like the nostalgic look of the chrome piece on the stingray's grill. Reminiscent of the old chrome bumper 68/69 gen 3s. Not sure about the other options like performance exhaust, handling package etc. I DO want a painted body color roof as well as painted vents etc. In white, that makes for a really nice package. Gary without a doubt go with the GS. You can speck it out to look like a Z06 without having to spend an additional 15k for the supercharger. The only question I would have is do you like the wide body look of you do then the GS is your vette if you don’t the Stingray it is. Make sure you get it the way you want it and don’t settle. They are a once in a lifetime car so get what you want how you want it. If you order one hit up Rick Corvette Conti he has a KZbin channel as well and he will help you get exactly what you want.
