11:17 Hi, I’ve just started to crochet a few months ago, found your video and it’s amazingly easy to follow, thank you! I’m doing the same size as you but I’m confused as to why the front panel is only 25 stitches and back is 61, can you please explain?
@TheCraftNut Жыл бұрын
It is sometimes better to watch the whole video all the way through without working at the same time so you can understand all of these things before getting started. But basically the front panel can’t be the same width and the back panel or the front would look just like the back with no split down the middle to put it on. Unless you wanted it to be a pullover I suppose. You also don’t want to make the front panels an exact half of the back panel because you’ll want to leave some room between the two front panels so there is a space for your neck. Hopefully that helps a bit ☮️💙🎶

This beginner beginner started on the back of this cardigan as instructed. I have not counted as well as I should have so I have reduced the number of stitches across the width from 61 stitches to 40 so should I just tear it out(a whole skein at 17 inches) or if I could change it from the large size which was your 61 stitches to a medium size at 40 stitches and make it for my daughter. Or somehow turn it into a baby blanket. I do like the pattern and have mastered that now. It's a pretty blue and I've changed the blue to a darker shade at the top. Bonnie

It’s up to you what you want to do with it ☺️ the pattern can be made at any size as said in the video so again it’s up to you what you would like to do with it next! I’m glad it worked for you and you like the pattern ☺️☮️💙🎶

@@TheCraftNut Question: Will it matter too much if the bottom with of the back is wider than the width at 17 inches and forward?
@TheCraftNut3 жыл бұрын
It does matter a little bit yes, because then you will want to do the same thing for the front panels. If you aren’t wanting to do that you’ll want to undo it to the point where it started getting smaller and keep it the same size until it’s the length you need ☺️☮️💙🎶

I am pretty new to crochet wearable. I have a back and 2 front panels made. Will I be able to add your sleeves to what I have done already?

Love this cardigan! Can hardly wait to make it, how many skeins of yarn do we need to have to make the largest?

The amount of yards used for the size I made are in the description of this video :) you can adjust according to how big or small you want to make it 😊 ☮️💙🎶🌻
