I have depression...the first step is to know you aren't feeling right...with the help and love from friends and family. Then was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes that didn't help matters. You keep at it mate....we all have so much to live for even if it doesn't feel like it...we are loved and wanted.

Dont put yourself down. I, like many others, really enjoy your you & your videos. Thank you for sharing, I don't have so many bad days now because I decided to cut out Twitter, Facebook & avoid news in general. I'm a lot happier now because of these changes.

Good to see you back. Depression is a bad thing. Only tip i have is when i get low, i step away from the internet and other stuff, find something simple and that i enjoy doing and just do that for a little while as helps to reset my brain.

This took a lot of courage Steve mate, depression is horrible i suffer from it myself i know what it's like when those demons in your head get going etc. I think more men need to talk about this it is not weakness or anything to be ashamed off, depression is a serious illness and can be fatal for some too. Glad you're on the way up now mate it is a long tough journey but i'm sure many will agree with me we are all behind you all the way.

Very brave of you Steve to share with how you’ve been feeling. Proud of you buddy. I’ve suffered with Depression since 2015 and was in a really dark place after my Nana had died. I got that bad that I ended up in a situation where I was stood on a motorway bridge as didn’t want to be here anymore. It was a cry for help and was talked down by a police office who saved my life. I got the help that I desperately needed and managed to turn my life around for the better. It made me reevaluate what was important in my life and what wasn’t. Thankfully I have a really good support network with my family and friends. I was in a job that I hated and everyday felt like Groundhog Day. I honestly didn’t think that I would get better. I ended up having a career change and got into the world of IT and last year I flew out to New York and married my partner of 21 years. Now I’m in a much better place and honestly I’ve never been happier than I am right now. Yes I have my down days but I spot the warning signs so make little changes to look after myself. Just take it one day at a time buddy and I found that making a diary really helps too as you can set yourself little tasks each day to complete and also write down how you feel each day and how you feel at the end of the day. By doing this you can then see progress. I’m here for you buddy. You’ve got this 🙏🏻

I got diagnosed with BPD in 2017, I would also consider myself a high functioning BPD, mental illness is not fun and games both for the person, suffering as well as family if you have any and others around you. I have gender counselling once every six months and I tend to bring up my BPD quite frequently in session, at least I have recently. I also have cerebral palsy and that exacerbates my BPD because it’s this constant battle between my body in my mind, yet I’ve managed to live on my own since I was 22, I’m almost 37 now.

@@stevemarruk don’t be because I don’t know what I’d be without it to be perfectly honest, I can’t see a world where I’m not borderline. People may ask me Steve, do I feel I’ve missed out on relationships as an adult and the answer is no because I won’t make my mind split, it’s too much of a risk. I have at least one friend that I talk to on a regular basis and buy regular once to twice a day and we’ve been friends for going on 20 years at this point. I edited my previous comment, so you may have to go in for re-read, just in case you didn’t read the new edits. Glad you’re better now, just remember to be mindful and mind your surroundings, especially if you think you can go through the mill again.

@@stevemarruk let’s be real here Steve, you can pretty much count your friends on one fucking hand like F me on a Christmas cracker, S the bed 🤣 Do you still have a physical media collection in your home? If so, have you tried Plex and what did you think of it, I only ask because I like it.
