Do people on Sky Stream not realise that there are missing channels and not miss them, some have gone online only so it's the other way around, Ginx Esports, TalkTV, NBC News Now. However by simply having a satellite dish you will get Talking Pictures, That's TV, Now 80s, Clubland, Rewind TV and quite a few other examples of good free to air TV that Sky Stream so far does not have, so why not have a non Sky satellite receiver along with Sky Stream at least. I also like having +1 channels, why can't they stream them online too.

Having ended contract and returned sky Q back 10 days later I was ‘enticed ‘back, received streaming puck but handset would not work with my Samsung, 3 handsets and 2 pucks later still not working, enquired about getting sky Q box but sky wanted another 5 quid, I will be terminating contract soon, very poor service.

Just ordered Sky Stream and they have activated everything on Sky Go whilst I wait for it to be delivered. Tried to get me to buy a mini hub for another tv in the house, declined, but I remembered that the Sky Go app is on the Apple TV box so I’ve set it up on that and I can now watch everything on another tv without the extra cost. Does anyone know why BBC 1 and 2 is not on Sky Go?

Hey, It's only 1080p most prabably becouse the Channels are only up to 1080p (not some with 4k) and so the device highest resolution also. And that's actually a feature then so that the TV is doing the upscaling for the 4K Display (trough its upscaling procesor) and better than the device could do.🙂😮 And the other one (i gues the streamer) becouse also has other Apps, with 4k contents, has also 4K Resolution wich its then needed for that Streaming contents.

Thank you Steve for this video. I am coming to the end of my VM contract and have recently had to upgrade from Tivo box to V360 (which is pants IMO). The Sky Stream sounds very easy to navigate , and my wife and I are in our late 70s so any new tech is not the easiest to absorb. We are both conversant with fireTVsticks etc so I think this would be just fine for us.

I have had the full bells and whistles Sky q 2 terabyte box with multi room for a few years now and I seriously can't fault it . But my viewing habits have changed a lot recently so I feel I'm paying for a lot of gear that i don't use as much .

Is there an app you can open and watch all the live TV channels like BBC itv etc instead of opening individual catch up apps

I'm in the process of getting rid of EE TV. They are the worst company imaginable and utterly useless. I'm going to Sky Q. After the trouble I've had with EE streaming TV, I want the reliability of a dish. Also, having to go through iPlayer to watch BBC and ITVX to watch ITV is a right pain. No chance of me choosing Sky Stream

Just gone to Sky Stream and lost 8 hours of my life trying to sort out TNT Sports. Because I get TNT Sports through BT Broadband I have previously managed to view it on Sky due to having a viewing card. Now, because Stream doesn’t have a viewing card number BT cannot authorise the viewing on Sky, the only way to get TNT is with their package, more expensive than BT, JUST TO BARE IN MIND!

Why don't companies from other countries use a similar system?

Sky Q Internet has the same size of sky stream. Quality is the same 4K. It’s literally the same product! The only difference is that sky stream has a redesigned graphic, yes is more simple and cool but… i don’t think that I’ll change from sky Q internet to Sky stream. What do you recommend me? Thanks

Sky Q is the better product because of recording, but then again… Stream does offer cloud recordings on Sky channels, and on TNT Sports. HD is the default compared to Q, so definitely Sky Stream. Every month it’s just getting better and better

Sky Stream is like a lite version of Sky Q. Reduced functionality for the same price

I was curious about this to replace my sky q and 3 mini boxes around the house. But there's no recording function so absolutely useless 😂😂😂 Oh dear Sky. You keep trying something new and getting it wrong. Sky Glass = bang average LCD TV. Sky Stream = no recording function. What on earth is wrong with them these days 😂 Also, far more likely to have a broadband problem at home than a dish problem.

Just ordered Sky Stream, switch from Sky Q, during the summer we have signal problems with sky q happens every year, dish has been moved 6 times by sky over the years so not sure where else they could put the dish now, so feel stream will be better, not too bothered about not being able to record things and have virgin 1gig broadband so connection shouldn't be a problem, wouldn't have considered it if i didn't have virgin as the normal fibre is about 20mbps in my area.

I still have my sky HD box and I’m keeping it & here’s why. Say the football game kicks off at 7:45pm…I set record for it, I watch say ITV Corrie and at commercial break put on the kettle and fill the T-pot, come back & sit down to watch the second half of Corrie, when that’s finished I pour my strong brew come back and sit down & start my footy recording from the whistle, then when the ref blows for half time I go live to the channel just as second half is about to blow. No Ads & from one prog straight to another when I choose. I do this with most TV programming as I also have BT box, Google Chrome, Amazon 4K stick, Roku & many many apps on my 5 TV’s whilst gaming too. Best of all NO ADVERTS.

I like the look of freely but not prepared to fork out for a new tv so I am going to let freely develope into a fully fledged system .but I enquired With sky About cancelling sky stream yesterday in a nice polite manner as always , screaming and balling at them is for Neanderthals not me .. anyways that besides the point I was paying 43.00 pound a month and I knew that there was some good offers on and this was the last time I was calling them , I had called them a few weeks back and all he could offer me was 3 pound off and a 18 month contract ….. anyways offered me 18 pound a month with Netflix with adds ….23 pound a month the fast forward thingy option for two years and if the prices rise I can leave drama free so that’s 43.00 a month down to 23.00 with Netflix adds or if you really really like adverts it’s 18 pound a month …..

Hello, thanks for the video. Interesting. I had Sky+ for years. Till 2018 ish. Loved it. Left for Virgin when I moved house. Jumped back to Sky through Sky stream nearly 18 months ago. Personal opinion only, I hate it. Bug ridden and overly complex. Depending on this video I'll be swapping to Sky Q.

If there are adds, you wont be able to fast forward through them as when you have recorded a programme. So your left with putting up with it or go premium on all the channels you use. Also you have an excellent internet speed. You need to cost in that too.

Great video, looking to purchase soon, how does it work if you put something on your playlist and it’s not recorded in the ‘sky cloud’ and takes you to a streaming service? Do you have to watch ads on that service even if you have ad skipping with sky?

Using a Sky Stream box, is possible to do zapping on the channels, like it happens in the SkyQ box, or you must select the single channel you want to see from the list and you always have to go to the TV Guide? Thanks in advance!

Hey mate, great videos. Just wondering though - what is the advantage of going for this over NOWtv? It's still Sky, and it's still streamed but it's so much cheaper. Often you can get deals on it too to make it even cheaper. I understand if you don't have a smart tv, then sky stream is attractive but for anyone with a modern telly, NOWtv seems to be a much better offer in terms of value.
