I love a good chevron, but mostly, I love your clear, specific and patient instructions. Thank you, thank you for sharing so many of your creative efforts. I have made many, and I do mean many, of your chevron star blanket. Love it so much. Do stay well and safe.

I really liked your instructions. It was very helpful the way you explained increase at the peak decrease in the valley. It was also very helpful that you explained that the two stitches at the ending and beginning of rows was because they were just half peaks.

Simple it may be, but this is one of my favorite blanket patterns. My gran made these in so many versions back in the 1970s: single, half-double, plain or in the back loop. Thanks for the tutorial! I’m going to use this for some yarn I bought a while back. Nostalgic colors are a good match for a nostalgic pattern.

Great tutorial. Another Ripple stitch to try. I just made 2 throws using Creative Grandmas, Super easy ripple stitch pattern, and I am just finishing up Bag O Days Back loop only Ripple stitch. All these ripple stitches reminds me of my mom crocheting when I was younger. She crocheted ripple afghans and throw pillow covers.

Any of the taller stitches will make the finished fabric a lot less dense, or having more "holes" in it. Test swatches will help you decide whether or not that is an issue for you on that project. Hope your project turns out sweeet!
@WinkTartanBelle10 ай бұрын
I've been looking for a stitch pattern appropriate for makeing a small rectangular rug or mat with a dense acrylic #4 or 5 weight yarn. (I have vintage Aunt Lydia's rug yarn in literal cases that I got from a closeout sale of a vintage/antique/junque shop.) I considered doing it "in the round", but the patterns I could find or come up with just didn't feel right for the room. I saw this post thumbnail 4 minutes after you posted it and I knew THIS IS THE ONE! I have a pair of chairs in the room that are uphostered in bargello fabric, so this will echo that and also the trim on the formal drapes, which is a chevron embroidered design. Design perfection! I do have a question: About how much more length on my starting chain should I add to achieve the desired finished dimension? Like a percentage or guesstimation? Doesn't have to be exact, but I'd like to make a runner and two mats/small throw rugs for specific spaces, so size does matter! I can make a test swatch to eventually figure it out, but in case you already have an idea for a starting point, that'd be fantastic! Thank you so very much for your tutorials and demonstrations. You are one of my go-to creators for such things, and also for your soothing voice and demeanor when I need a little civilized chill sess. These days, such gentle and centering breaks from the pressures of life are a must. Much respect and gratitude from north Texas.

@FiberSpider10 ай бұрын
You can, you would just have to increase the hook size accordingly. Try a couple sizes larger than what the label suggests.

I've attempted so many blankets but have yet to complete one - barring one very lumpy baby blanket I made in the 4th grade for my teacher 😂 I'm really hoping this is the one I see all the way through. If any fellow yarnivores/spiderettes reading this feel compelled to send some stitchy completion vibes my way, please do 🙏 love you Master Spider! 🕸

It's confurmed... CATTYWAMOUS means something that is in disarray, that is askew, or something that isn't directly across from something. Interesting words you use sonetimes but was compelled to look this one up! 📚

Cattywampus is a spectacular word! My friend named her adorable dog Wampus cuz while he was super sweet, but always a bit off, and every time I saw him always made me chuckle.
