The Simplicity of LimFlow - LimFlow co-founder Tim Lenihan

"Tim Lenihan, LimFlow co-founder and partner at MD Start, has been in the MedTech industry for 30 years. Lenihan is also a partner at MD Start-a MedTech company incubator-where LimFlow was only the third company launched.
“What drew me to LimFlow was what seemed to be-in the beginning-the simplicity of it,” said Lenihan. “It turned out later that the tools took a little bit more development than we first thought.”
The idea of using the vein to bring blood to a diseased foot just made sense to Lenihan. These types of procedures-albeit more rudimentary versions-had been documented in medical literature since the early 1900s. Many of those procedures ended in success.
“Our goal was to get the right tools into the right hands,” he said. “We’re working with people who understand the physiology and anatomy to make sure we get it across the line and into the clinic as fast as possible with the best-skilled hands, so we can prove the principle.”
