Hey, I'm one of the folks who wrote this video. To clarify something in the video, we only wanted to include flashbacks that would have their corresponding present-day arc in the timeline. For example, Fisher Tiger breaks out Boa Hancock in 1509, yet it's not mentioned here. That will be brought up if we do a timeline that includes the Fishman Island, arc where his entire story is told. One Piece tells stories that take place in the past as much they do the present. Both past and present feel richer if mentioned in proximity. That was also my reasoning for including the canon light novel content focused on Ace. Despite coming out recently, it makes more sense with the rest of Ace's story Thank you for watching the video!

For those saying that Zeff didn't eat his leg: he did in the manga. In the anime they censored it by having Zeff cut off his leg when it got trapped underwater. The anime censored many things, like Akainu burning half of Whitebeard's moustache instead of melting half of his face like in the manga.

Well, you're wrong. I haven't read it, but there is a Light Novel series called Guin Saga which has 145 Volumes and is the world record holder for the longest written work by a single person. According to Wikipedia it is also still ongoing. I don't know how it compares to that one Smash fanfic though.

Nino Ruiz Incorrect although if you don’t know Japanese I can see how you would think that. They say Going Merry (gou) - “gou” being a suffix you give to ships, kinda like how “san” is used for humans. When you hear “Merry-gou” you’re just hearing “Merry”. The gou is just a suffix added to the end to denote it’s a ship. 4Kids and Viz made the same mistake you are making. It’s really just Going Merry (Going Merry-gou).

Ah it's good but I wish there was a little more to it, like I saw 7:00 you forgot to talk about Fisher Tiger's exploits beforehand and how Arlong splits from the Sun Pirates, but otherwise you got most of the early plot threads covered. BUT thinking about it I get why it's not there, those are flashbacks covered in the arcs after the timeskip. It sucks because I'm reading the manga and they keep introducing new flashback scenes with Rogers and Whitebeard so this will get outdated fast, but great video! Love this take on the One Piece timeline! Just a few critiques though. You could have named the main baddie's devil fruits, its a highlight of the fights. The same goes for Chopper and Brook's fruits too. The bounty increase after beating Crocodile should have been mentioned as well since he took down a Warlord of the Sea. I think you mean that you will return to the anime after the Straw Hats beat 2 of the Yonko, since at the latest episode, Luffy is already training himself to take down Kaido, and he promised Katakuri that he would take down Big Mom afterward. Luffy is not one to break his promises, and all of us fans know he’s going to take them down anyhow, and Zoro is about to learn more about the Samurai’s sword Shusui, since his duel is not finished yet. Great recap and great putting all of the events together in order, it’s also nice to hear the manga and anime comparison in the beginning
