Out of curiosity are you also going to do a video similar to the one you just did but on all of the level gags or collector cards? Oddly enough, I was actually partway through recording footage for the collector cards as I was planning to do some shorts on them, but that's when my memory card became corrupted so I'd have to start over again. It will probably still happen some time in the future but not just yet.

Huge credit to you for the correction! Personally, I always thought the car from that episode resembles a Volvo, specifically an early 200 series. The line across the front grille is a classic Volvo trademark. Not that it really matters after being smashed up!

The windows are also slightly different in the episode compared to the game but I still think it's meant to be the same car despite the changes.

You may notice the grill in the TV show shows Skinner's car to be a Volvo. The most similar body style Volvo made to that car would probably be a 740 Sedan.

Weirdly the shows version of the car appears to have a Volvo Logo on the front grille, despite the in game model being based on a dodge. I also found a picture of what I assume is the same car appearing in a later season but in the colour blue, it still has the Volvo logo though which is what makes me think it's the same car. The only other thing I noticed you got wrong was with the police car, you showed it was based on a 2nd Gen Ford Crown Victoria while it far more closely resembles a 80s Ford LTD Crown Victoria which is technically a different car. Random fact about the police car as well the game actually has 2 different models of the police car used in the game, the one the player can buy and also a less detailed model used during hit and run chases and also some missions!

These have been pointed out previously. I noted that the sedan looks a little different in Bart's Comet too, as there are extra windows. But I still think it's based on this car. So many people have mentioned the police car now. 😂 My mistake. It's ironic as I spent a long time looking at the appearances of the car in the show, more so than any other vehicle. I know you said its based on a Dodge Aries, but in the show, in that specific episode, its a Volvo, look at the grille.

I would perhaps consider a retrospective but I've not seen much at all from season 22-23 onwards, as I (finally) lost interest. But I do think there's still plenty of good stuff up to and including season 20, and people don't tend to talk about the mid-seasons much. At least not positively.

I kinda wish this video was a little more thought provoking. I mean "the cars are cars from the show" is such a surface level observation. of course a liscensed game is going to utilize the IP, thats what they were bloody contracted to do. like your police car thing, you said it took you hours and hours of sifting to find the Springfield Connection, that should have been obvious because it's ALSO where Marge's costume comes from. They aren't just refrencing random episodes that they like, there's a particular focus on Bill Oakley's run in the gags costumes and everything. and it's kind of a shame because there's yet another oppertunity for Mission Hill to get decent representation that was totally missed because "Simpsons" is just kinda viewed as one lump thing rather than multiple different artists.
