In the sims 2 you need to have a decent relationship to invite people over; and you always greet people, even after you met them. I'm not sure, but I think the fact that you added her to your household made her a regular sim instead of the evil witch NPC, thus you couldn't perform the interaction. To cast spells, you need reagents, the evil witch sells them. Also, don't forget the best feature of the sims apartment life... Apartments :) You can built them from scratch and you can live with 4 families on the same lot. No loading screens to visit your neighbours, and most important thing, you can build them in every neighbourhood without limits. For this reason alone, it's my favourite TS2 expansion pack, with Open for business.

you can also make reagents yourself with your cauldron! although it does take awhile to do that way.

@@Vladimira92 If you want to buy the reagents, it's best to have a neutral witch in the household. They can buy from either good or evil high witches. The others can only buy from their alignment. And yes, building apartments is amazing and living in them is great, including free childcare.

@@giupinkfairy technically an apartment could only house four of your own families, but you could make an apartment building with for instance 20 apartments and 16 townies could live there and serve as neighbors. I have a gorgeous trailer park with a beautiful open area which includes picnic area, swimming pool, community garden etc. I also have a beautiful condominium building with a pool and workout room in the basement and a rooftop community area.

Somebody already explained the relationship thing haha. But another reason why relationships kept failing is because in Sims 2 both Sims have different relationships with each other and when you manually chested Ferrari's relationship, the one of the other guy remained stagnant. If you want them both to have a good relationship you need to manually cheat them both up OR right click on the Sim your Sim wants to get to know better, with Testingcheats on and click "Make me know Sim" or something along those lines, in which case you cheat it up for both Sims! :)

Funny I got a witch stopping by almost every time I'm on a community lot... It's basically need your Sims to stay a little longer they will eventually show up.

Spore was being developed shortly after TS2 was released. Will Wright left The Sims development to concentrate on it. I truly feel this is why TS3 and TS4 never felt as well developed. I never played Spore as it doesn't appeal to me. Unsavory Charlatan is a Bon Voyage NPC. He is a pickpocket, you cannot engage him. His outfit changes to fit in the three vacation destinations: tropical, mountain, Asian. There is no Neutral High Witch, only Atrociously Evil or Infallibly Good. It doesn't matter which one changes you. You can change your alignment by performing magic and reading your Grimoire. It takes a 100/20 relationship to get the High Witch to teach you the ways of life or the path of darkness. There is a potion that is very useful. Actually 2. Magically Spiced Sugar temporary raises a Sim to 10 in Nice, and the opposite (I think it's called Snips & Snails) lowers to 0 in Nice. These are useful if you want to encourage your child either up or down in Nice/Grouchy. The more extreme the trait, the better the parent is at encouragement. I'm currently doing a TS2 Legacy LP on my channel. Freetime is my favorite pack and because I used to write tutorials for TS2 and TS1, there is actually an ingame Sim named after me in Freetime. Small claim to fame :) The biggest benefit to Apartment Life is the ability to make your own apartments from the ground up. A really gorgeous trailer park gives poor Sims a lovely starter place with a great outdoor benefit including a play area for the kids. I have one with 4 different trailers from tiny to rather grand on a 6x5 lot, with very well manicured grounds, a pool, garden, and playground.

Also, if they don't come over, like the witch, just call to talk maybe 2 or 3 times and then they should come over. I believe around level 30 or 40. Also don't forget to cheat the other persons relationship to high as well so then the other person will be more inclined to do whatever.

So much is offered in Apartment Life, it is S Tier for me❣ By the way, spells require leveling up your skill and making or buying (from high witch) reagents. I am surprised that you did not go to the castles, nor fly. I use mods to rid the green and sparkly glows, as well as allow them to wear any outfits (otherwise, in a town of witches and warlocks, everyone begins to look like one another). I also use a mod that allows you to retain any spells you study going both directions of aligment, and you can cast any learned without affecting your alignment. And for those who love building, the ability to make any type of apartment/row houses/flop houses/trailer parks/etc. is just top notch (no loading screens when visiting neighbors❣And while Sims 3 highrises might look better from afar, using the camera is just abysmal going inside, not with Sims 2 apartments, the camera doesn't even stutter at the top floor. ApartmentLife and Makin' Magic are my favorite expansions of the entire series❣

Sims 2 base game was more interesting that the sims 4 with multiple packs. Still Sims 2 managed to put the bar even higher at each pack release and each pack was so fun to play.

the ssx games were fire.. whenever i bring it up to anyone NOBODY SEEMS TO KNOW EM EVER. and i'm over here having had the tricky version on ps2 and then we had an xbox at school that had a different version than i had at home and i dominated everyone in the class at that game cuz i could play the other version at home whenever i wanted. unfortunately neither my ps2 or the game work anymore cuz i literally played it to death (my ps2 mainly just needs a new reader tho it's a slim so it's not too suprising)

You have to travel to the magical world and purchase reagents from the Evil Witch in order to do more spells. Since you killed your friend witch, you'll have to make friends again with the new witch who has moved into the evil palace in the magical world. Click on Fly To Lot and you will see the magical world in the menu of places you can go.

Tbh I like Sims 2 and it has lot of great things. But like: build/buy is bad. You have only five skills, you can’t really choose your aspiration. Lots of rabbit holes. No celebrities

Sims 2 has 7 main skills, but also has other skills: toddlers have 3 additional main skills (potty training, walking, talking), along with learning a nursery rhyme; there are additional skills, such as dancing, pool and chess (the first 2 can give Uni scholarships), on top of that, there are over 10 talent badges, which all can be leveled up to 10. As for rabbit holes, there are none in Sims 2. While building is not as easy as in Sims 4, Sims 2's complexity offers far more, especially being able to build entire worlds/neighborhoods/subhoos/etc. (with tons of terrain tools, set dressings that can even fit themed worlds), hotels and apartments/row houses (which introduces a semi-open world, without loading screens). Said hotels and apartments can even be built on beaches. You can choose your aspiration (unless you are confusing lifetime wish?). You can even change it with the lifetime reward or after your sophomore year at Uni. If you have FreeTime, you can even choose a secondary aspiration, along with hobbies. Interests are also another aspect only available in Sims 1&2. Sims 2 (imo), has the most in-depth personalities of all the mainline Sims games. Relationships also can be one-sided, meaning you could have a crush on someone, without it being reciprocated. Plus there are long-term consequences for actions. If you enjoy playing occults, it offers hybrids (which your sim could become nearly all of them simultaneously). Sims 2 also offers the best gameplay mechanics and physics of all the games. I have been playing The Sims series since 2000, and by far, imo, Sims 2 is the best❣
