The Sims Old Age death is kind of sweet in a way. They just wave to everyone like, “Bye, it’s time for me to go.” And then just calmly lies on the ground. No fanfare, no dramatic music. Just easy acceptance after a long, fulfilling life.

I like the grim reaper's animation for reaping the live stock animals. I wish it was like that for pets too. Its sweet and makes you feel a little better about losing your buddy.

In the sims 3 the pet death animation was closer to the livestock death animations here where the reaper comforts/plays with the animal before death. I think they were originally aiming for realism with the animations by the time of the cats and dogs expansion but have gone back to the ts3 style reaper showcasing a soft spot for animals in the later packs

Eh not really lol. When my sim Gracie died I was hurt lmao. She had just had a baby, gotten married, and was a law firm she was doing so well and was happy then she dies. & when her baby Liam grew into toddler he kept crying and mourning Gracie. And not to mention her husband was a mess so it was sad. But I saved her cause I didn’t save her death so I was able to play the game I saved before she died. Now she’s an elder and she can die of old age or something

I feel like Death by Sadness should be a thing. Basically what you have to do: get your Sim's mood from Sad, to Despairing, to Depressed. You'll get a little moodlet that says "(Sim's name here) is feeling really sad. They should cheer up, if they don't, something bad could happen..." If that doesn't happen, their death animation will show them crying and calling for the Grim Reaper (could be considered suicide), then laying down.

Get the reaper into your sims family and let him interact with toddlers. In my game the reaper is pretty much the babysitter of my child, he plays with him, feeds him, changes his clothes, teaches him how to speak and do poop, reads him night stories to go to bed; he has become part of the family, it is honestly the most adorable and beautiful thing ever, honestly one of my best decisions ever made, and when my child will eventually become an adult and dies, well that’s storytelling at it’s best 👌🔥🔥🔥

Wow! Thanks for talking about the shark attack. My Sim died and the notification told me he was pulled under the water. I had left my Sim to swim alone while I attended to another Sim so I didn’t see that. And I went to search the internet for shark death and nobody really talks about it. I thought I was going crazy. Several of the ghosts are unique to their deaths for example the pufferfish has a fish floating around inside of them, the rabid rodent fever ghost is wearing a rodent costume and the murphy bed ghost is afraid of sleeping and can possess people

You can get fires in the base game from the fireplaces as well as from the stoves and grills. Also, there is a playful moodlet that your sims get when they wear warm clothes that has caused many of my Sims to get hysterical and die.

I had a sim of Mercat and in place of her Star that she has on her head I used the Star sunglasses that give her a playful moodlet. I do have some pretty impressive Dazzlings and they’re on the gallery. They’re modded, my name is HotDogLucy, and they are the most canon looking Sims of the Dazzlings. The sunglasses must also be how Mercat died, plus I had to get her married to Pillow Cat again after she died (I ship the two)

My cousin’s rabbit Tony is a heartless manipulator. He pretends to like you just to get blueberries, lures you into thinking you have bought his love and can pet him, then he leaps away and chews up the sideboard. I should mention Tony is spoiled rotten: he has his own room with a tv playing the news or music during the day, a fridge for his fruits and veggies, a gorgeously disguised litterbox in a side table, and a couch to chew and sleep on. But at night he sleeps in his cage on the coffee table. My room is next door - yes I have my own room at my aunt and uncle’s mansion, only used when I visit from out of town and I have stuff I keep there - and when Tony wakes in early enough the morning that my aunt hasn’t yet come in for his special wake up routine, he gets mad and very loudly slams around in his cage. He’s a damn prince in that kingdom!

​ this was more of a thing on TS2 as Sims who didn't complete their aspirations begged to the Reaper but those who did everything willingly went happily and the Reaper even brings hula dancers, leaving a glorified tomb behind. It was nice for Sims to actually have a perspective on death, I guess!

5:40 Idk if it will work for anyone else, but to fix this bug the sim has to change mood, for example make them sleep and wake up right after, it worked for me so I guess it will for you too ;)

My explanations and suggestions: I think the reason the shark attack is so rare is cause they wanted to make it realistic and sharks aren't very aggressive towards humans or in this case sims. They should make the durability of servos run out much faster when in water. Sims should have a 100% chance of dying when being struck by lightning a third time the only way to have a chance of survival should be to have a four-leaf clover with you or having drank an energy drink and still having the effect than it should be a 60% chance of death
