One thing I think you missed is with the Sims 4 Social Bunny app. That app is a double reference. it references not just the freezer bunny, but also the legitimate social bunny NPC from The Sims 2. The Social Bunny was an NPC who would show up when your sims social need was too low. Your sim could interact with the social bunny and the NPC would leave once your need was fixed. Oddly enough, only that specific sim could see the social bunny, hinting at the NPC being a hallucination. If you had another sim in the household you switched to, you would see the other sim just interacting with nothing, switch back to the other sim and you can see the social bunny again. The Social Bunny NPC was itself a reference to a movie called "Donnie Darko". Watch it if you get a chance. It's delightfully creepy.

I've played plenty of Sims 2 and 3, and never noticed the freezer bunny! I actually thought it was introduced in the Sims 4 and that they were trying to force-market it as a nostalgic part of the series in order to sell merchandise! Interesting video, thank you :)

I assume the freezer bunny isn't frozen in the fridge because, well, it's not a freezer. It would be cool though if they added a freezer for public lots that has a frozen bunny too

I only play sims 2 so have always seen the freezer bunny drawing in a frame and the plushy within But i never knew the bunny had that big of an undercover influence to the Sims franchise ahahah I had no idea about the actual bunny in the community lot freezer tho hence the name 😂 Perhaps in a way, freezer bunny is like the pusheen of the Sims world with how prevalent it is

Yeah, sims 2 is my life and I've never seen the original in the freezer either. He looks very scary, glad they made him cuter. Also I love that I still discover new things in sims 2 still after 20 years!

Back in the day, when people talked about the freezer bunny being actually in the grocery freezer, I could never find it! I thought it was on a frozen dinner box. Thanks for showing me! Also I just love the freezer bunny. They can slap that happy little bunny on anything - I just love it. Love your channel too. Very good doc.🐰

I loved to get the ice cream in sims 3. I actually thought that's why it was called the freezer bunny lol I love it, it's so cute!

I thought these were supposed to be ice packs in the shape of a bunny 😂 Makes sense, given its flat and boxy shape, the name “freezer bunny”, and they generally look small enough to put in a lunch box.

Okay I’m going to sound super crazy but I literally can’t tell if this was just a false memory or something real. So I remember on the title screen of the sims 4 sometime in 2022 or 2023 the freezer bunny was there with a kind of “creepy” message or something kind of weird. I don’t remember what it said or when this happened. It might have been an April fools joke. But I’ve looked everywhere online, every appearance even remembered lilsimsie made a comment on it but I still feel like I’m going crazy!! If anyone knows PLEASE let me know so I’m not wondering this for the rest of my life!
