I’ve always had my eye on this series, so as soon as I heard about the kick stater i jumped on it. I read the first book and I loved it. I took a break to read Initial D vol 1, but will continue to read the series afterwards.

The word you are looking for is spin-off/sequel for Shadow Roads. I think that describes it best. Sadly not happy with these, glad I have the Deluxes and didn't upgrade Shadow Roads trades.

These new omnibuses have all the stories, but none of the special features. The deluxe hardcovers / gunslinger editions are packed with lots of special features. However, Shadow Roads has not yet been released in this format. Hopefully someday.

Standard size, and with no extras. I backed the Shadow Roads volume only because it was never printed in the old Gunslinger/Deluxe volumes, but I regret it to be honest. The price they are asking for these considering the trim size is quite frankly ridiculous - I suggest looking for the older, oversized deluxe hardcovers although some volumes may be hard to find.

I’m really not a fan of this move to kickstarter. It tends it be expensive to back and if they come to retail it’s usually a lesser version.

Completely agree, the pricing is just ridiculous on these considering the trim size. I like to back creators publishing their own stuff on Kickstarter, but this is an established publisher - and they didn't even include extras or really anything to justify the cost of these.

The paper looks fine? Omar just said it’s a thick gloss and that the hardcovers are almost identical to the softcovers.
