Bob's face when Cara directly contradicts him at 21:39 only to be denied.

she wasn’t trying to contradict him though, she was being a part of a conversation and adding insight. Then he and Steve clarified his point. Conversations among skeptics aren’t as dramafied as you’re used to in the rest of society - people can disagree with or add to what someone else is saying without any expectation it will be taken personally. Nothing was the least bit offensive in that moment. The fact that you viewed her addiction as a “contradiction” that she was “denied” (by someone just clarifying), when at worst she misunderstood, but still added an interesting point, tells me quite a lot about your personal bias here - I’m guessing women speaking confidently is generally a problem for you lol, because literally every other man on that stage interjects or disagrees or clarifies things to one another at some point. Bob never even looked bothered, he did look like maybe she’d misunderstood his point and he was allowing her to make hers before he clarified.

Yes he is and I believe what he's selling is way out of your belief system. But what it should be used for is to examine the belief system and if you find the belief system completely valid through critical thinking, historicity, exact bibliographical examinations, and you find it corroborated Buy external sources, and you find this message compelling you might stick with that instead of atheism.

Okay so I almost got your book on Audible for five bucks. For some reason the transaction didn't go through and this morning there's a new book. So I look things up on KZbin see if there was any more information I could find out about your book and here you are talking about your book. And just a few minutes into this 40 45 minute session at a bookstore I hear you talking about freeing your mind from non-cis nonsensical belief systems and I'm thinking yes! Atheists can now give up their idiocy use some logic and reasonable processes and critical thinking and realize that Christianity is not a belief system but a real reality that is historically verifiable factually established and backed up by all kinds of physical historical evidence written by both members of the community that follow Christ and people who did not believe who he said he was and both camps and atheists former atheist and scientists across-the-board have proven the veracity of the Bible again and again and again. So I hear you say these things about people being able to give up their nonsensical belief systems and I'm shouting for Joy because this means that atheists can now be free. Sadly I know that you are an atheist and that your book that I haven't listened to yet, but based on what you're saying here is very likely and in the opposite direction of what I would use it for. I came to my conclusions about Christianity and the same way that you're describing that people should shut off their belief systems and be able to believe in the world of science which science is very true and there a lot of Christians who are scientists a lot of scientists who are Christians in every field and they practice you're very brand of critical thinking. It don't bend the facts towards pointing to a belief system they simply expose the facts in light of intention and Design and purpose. Every field of science on the planet eventually ask the question who made this, and what is it for. And it turns out that everything that we can lay hands to put under a microscope View with a telescope or camera that we shoot off hundreds of thousands of years away from light years away from us that can send back pictures there's nothing that we can't ask that same question. What is this for? And if we're asking what is it for then we're also admitting that there's purpose and if there is purpose then there is design and if there is design then there is a designer. That's critical thinking quotes you start asking those questions and having to have the answers. And not accepting an answer that goes right up to the brink and then stopping short because if you look over that next Hilltop your answer is there but you don't want that answer. That answer might be that there really is a God. That answer might be that as hateful as you are he really loves you. But answer might be everything in the universe is created so that you can have a home and he can love you. Carl Sagan said if we all there is wouldn't that be a great waste of space. Yes I've read contacts one of my favorite movies as well. My answer to call Satan comes from Professor Guillermo Gonzalez. It's not a waste of space if every molecule is balanced perfectly and in such a way that this planet can exist and have life on it so the people that God created can exist and be loved by him and cherished as beloved children. We have this great scope of science that can examine every aspect of our world from the rarest most beautiful plant and flower 2 intriguing species 2 smart deadly viruses each and everyone has a unique Construction and purpose. The design is undeniable. The designer is therefore also undeniable. So to any who bother to stop and read this I suspect there may only be with you if you've read this gentleman's book and come away thinking Christianity is bogus and he's got not done what he promised he's not allowed you to open your mind to critical thinking to examine your belief system. What he says is true! Absolutely true! If you examine the facts and look into the evidence and see who the evidence comes from, it's very very hard to continue to be an atheist and if you continue to be an atheist it's a very very hard to continue to deny Christianity and the God who made Christian's possible. Like the point you to anything by Frank Turek. Absolutely anything on KZbin by Frank Turek. In fact put his name of the search engine and whatever topic you'd like to hear his take on. It's not going to lead you astray. He's not going to pull the wool over your eyes. He's not going to pull your leg. It's not going to lie to you. He's not going to tell you that he knows when he doesn't. He will only give you facts. He will only give you facts. If you want good philosophy discussion and please people Ravi Zacharias. He has read literally all the philosophy. He has studied all the philosophy and the all the atheism and all of the different belief systems of the world. And he grew up in a country with her over 300 thousand gods that are worshipped. He won't pull the wool over your eyes. And he won't lie to you. There a lot of charlatans out there calling themselves Christians calling themselves pastors preachers evangelists what have you but I challenge you to find what they say in the Bible in context for real. But these two gentlemen they will not steer you wrong they will give you only logic reason critical thinking philosophy and kindness. They never speak in hate they never attack they only deal with people who opposed them with loving kindness. Not like this guy. Just a few minutes in and already I get to hear him this Christianity without even saying Christianity. And I suspect if I listen to the rest of it I'm going to hear him. Please use his methods and techniques and ideas about critical thinking and do that for yourselves please oh please. Give me much the wiser for it and you know? So would he.

"Christianity is not a belief system but a real reality that is historically verifiable factually established and backed up by all kinds of physical historical evidence " Like WHAT??? So far, to the very best of my knowledge. God has never told us in any verifiable way that Christianity has any validity whatsoever. Why then should we believe it? The Bible? There are too many things it says that are demonstrably false, such as people needing to go to the place of their birth during a census, the Sanhedrin meeting on Passover Eve or the Romans crucifying someone just because a group of subjugated people wanted them to. Then there is Adam and Eve, Noah's Ark, Tower of Babel, Exodus from Egypt, and many other things that are fully refuted by science and history. We shouldn't take all of it literally? How do we know which parts to take literally and which parts not to? So, forget the Bible. Find something else.

I looked up Frank Turek. His arguments are absolutely worthless, basically the same debunked arguments that are well dealt with here: Christianity Debate NonStampCollector kzbin.info/www/bejne/mISvnISkeNqlndU That video is 12 years old, and I have not heard Frank Turek make a single argument that the video does not cover. If you know of one he made that is not covered by that video, let us know.

Honestly all his “hatefulness” is in your imagination. You only made it 3 minutes before having to pause and type paragraphs about why everyone should be a Christian. If you aren’t willing to actually listen, just watch something else that doesn’t challenge you.

You're the one asking "What is it for", I'm not. Have you ever entertained the notion that the Universe is not for anything but is just is? As to the veracity of the Bible, I suggest you read In Defense of Atheism, by Michel Onfray.
