Well Ruto had a thing for Link in OoT And in BotW Mipha had a thing for Linl to thr point of doing him a ceremonial armor out of her own scales And there is that other Hylian and Zora couple So Who is to say after Wind Waker Flood and the Skylands descended to give save passage the ppl of Hyrule that the Rito and Zora intermingle

Wind Waker's ocean also didn't have a proper seabed, we never see the Zora just living in open waters, they build shelters and homes. A force field might not be easiest place to do that. It does make some sense that they'd also move to the few bits of shelter they could find in the islands.

I always thought the WW islands, most of them, were sky islands. Volvagia was never a guardian, it was killed by a Goron Hero (who Darunia is descended from) eons before OoT because it was evil and ate Gorons. Ganondorf isn’t responsible for it being evil, all he did was resurrect the Goron’s old foe. The Rito don’t get a feather from Valoo to gain their wings they receive a scale from him. I don’t think the Gorons feuded with the Zora’s or Rito, they are rock people and they cannot swim or float. They most likely sunk, and probably died from lack of rocks to eat or drowning.

I forget which game this is from, but Gorons don't produce air bubbles when underwater like other species do. It's implied that Gorons don't need to breathe, and there are a lot of rocks underwater. It's entirely possible the Gorons were all just chilling on the ocean floor during Wind Waker

Also on zoras, the DS sequals to WW have the Geozard enemies, maybe they are a kind of rogue zora faction? Ones that didnt become Ritos? At the very least they seem inspired by the classic 2d zora enemies😂

FINALLY!!!! SOMEBODY COVERED THIS!!! But… Spoilers for many Zelda games ahead Even with the timelines merging, shouldn’t one of the zora or rito exist and the other one not exist? The timeline merging, I believe, would make different parts of all 3 timelines happening, right? We don’t have exact placements for games taking places in different timelines, so they can have happened at different times, so that’s how that parts works. Link being gone in wind waker could be because he was in a different land, Links awakening. Before finding land again after the events of that game, he dreams another dream, a dream of majoras mask, and for anybody saying this can’t be the case because you can find Majoras mask in breath of the wild, parts of Links awakening were clearly true, so the same thing can be true here. It could also be that this is a infinite dream cycle of death, while his body is helping the hero of twilight. The Stormwind Ark in tears of the kingdom could have saved SOME zora, turning them into ritos in the sky islands. Sure, in Wind Waker there are only ritos, but things like this must happen when 3 reality’s exist in the same place. This got very confusing, and it all started with how zora and rito can exist at the same time.

Both. Mountain tops. And also the sky islands lowered to rest on the water. You mentioned the more “monstrous” Zora seen in ALttP & ALBW. You also mentioned the Gordon’s living in New Hyrule to the north. Monstrous Zora can also be found in New Hyrule to the north. The OoT Zora become WW Rito. But in BotW, both OoT Zora and Rito exist, but the Rito look different, and they don’t need a dragon scale to fly. But the monstrous Zora are entirely absent from BotW… because they became BotW Rito.

no they wouldn’t, because the gameplay needs to be fresh, this is the same thing that happened to twilight princess, twilight princess has a entiretly diffferent map from ocarina of time, when it only takes place about 100 years after ocarina of time, it’s to make sure the game is good lol

Cool theory but sadly not probable, the tablets in the sky tell us that Mineru made the sky islands at the request of zelda. If the past of Totk happens before wind waker then we should fine zonai stuff on the islands.

I just had a theory cross my mind. We know Zelda II: Link’s Adventure took place at the end of the downfall timeline. There are clear differences in the canons of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom which leads me to believe they may actually occur at the ends of the child or adult timelines separately. That or most likely TOTK’s reality shifted to reflect the difference Zelda’s travel to the past causes at the beginning of the game. After considering your theory there could be no way that Tears occurs in the adult timeline because the islanders in Wind would’ve found the Zonai constructs. I assume it would have to end the child timeline while Breath’s differences are explained by it ending the adult timeline instead.

Edit: since you adressed what my original comment said in the video ima say: Idk if its the origin of ALL sky islands but the main island in TotK is raised by the zonai and hylians to be out of reach from ganondorf so the theory sadly doesnt hold up anymore
