In terms of what you LIKE I'd say Dead Skin Mask would be the perfect next step, after doing South of Heaven. And just to throw it out there. You'll eventually do Raining Blood and when you do, you should (heavily) consider doing it as a double and do Postmortem first, as that song serves as a sort of intro to Raining Blood.

And if you are getting into something completely crazy, there's always IGORRR which blends electronic music with death metal and opera singing ahaha! Those same artists have another band called CORPO-MENTE which is more melodic and maybe more suitable for ears than Igorrr. I hope you'll enjoy this world of extraordinary and complex music!

Excellent choice man. One of their best from one of their best albums that has many songs more to your tempo like "Skeletons Of Society". Definitely check out "South Of Heaven" next. A metal classic. For some people it does take some getting used to fast tempos but if you stick with it, especially in the thrash metal genre, you'll be glad you did. You should also react to "Raining Blood". It's a very fast song but it's another classic from Slayer.

This album got me into Slayer completely back in the day ('90) - I had heard other tracks before but they didn't quite connect like this album and especially this track (and Dead Skin Mask) did. I soon went back and started to enjoy the other albums too. I recommend not going back to Reign in Blood yet and stay away from the "new" albums (anything post Seasons...) for now too, instead try something off the first album, it's very different from the following ones thanks to strong 'Maiden influence. "Black Magic" or "Die by the Sword" for more obvious picks, but I'd say "Metal Storm / Face the Slayer" or "Crionics" for unusual (and great!) choices!

Great video! In the 80's and 90's, Dave Lombardo was considered as being the best thrash-metal drummer. On the same album (Seasons in the Abyss, 1990): you can listen to : "Blood Red", "Dead Skin Mask", "Skeletons of Society", great songs with a good mid-tempo, "Temptation" (8th song) is a bit faster but still ok!! "South of Heaven", "Mandatory Suicide" , "Spill the Blood", "Divine Intervention", "213", "Die by the Sword", the first part of "Postmortem" are songs you will probably enjoy listening to...

If you want to hear modern metal bands that sing, scream, and have long guitar solos that are melodic, masterful in musicianship, and take the song on an even bigger journey, I would go with Trivium. There are many many songs of theirs in this tempo from Slayer here that will appeal to you. And theres a right balance with them vocally between brilliant singing and shouting. Trivium have a few albums under their belt- with a brand new one comin out at the end of the month. You could start right up to date with a recent song "The Catastrophist". That has a huge chorus , massive solos, and a right balance of singing and shouty vocals here and there to punctuate the song further. Same too, for "What the dead men Say", from the forthcoming album. "The sin and the Sentence" . "Strife". I could bang on with even more songs from Trivium including their most viewed songs on here- but in terms of hearing a good balance for ya with singing, shouting, those are daycent to start with aswell. Yeah, Trivium. Gettem into ya, lad!😄 Also, to hear some good aul' Irish bands- you could hear some Primordial (Coffin Ships), or good aul' Thin Lizzy (Black Rose).
