This Slayer video was the most suggested on the Raining Blood and Angel Of Death reaction videos. This song surprised me a little. I felt as if it didn't sound exactly the same as the other 2. The vocals are also starting to grow on me a lot now. I think Slayer may become a top 10 band of time... Who knows...
Here is my reaction to hearing Slayer - Seasons In The Abyss for the first time. I hope you enjoy!

These people who are hating aren't real metal fans....fact. The metal community is one of the most open and welcoming communities in music. Taking you away from the comforting arms of slayer for for a moment, if you like melodic metal style I am going to suggest 2 very different styles of metal 90's with brit band carcass and song heartwork, then more recent band Jinjer with song Pieces. Its very important you go into hearing pieces without any previews for impact but its safe for YT as is heartwork..... Enjoy 😊

You do realize these reaction channels are here to make money, and are not specifically on some "journey" with you along for the ride mentoring them as they go don't you? Or are you just gullible? While fun to watch its a gimmick to earn cash. Ps, I think you're mistaking metalheads for hippies, the metal community has never been all inclusive, rather very protective of our thing. Having said all that insulting something you watch to be entertained by is stupid as well so I dont agree with abusing this bloke either, he's just trying to earn a living.
@senga21lisa
@senga21lisa 5 ай бұрын
@@jamesbishop4635 anything on YT with monetisation is to make money and if it's something you are interested in that they're making them all power to them. As far as the inclusive nature of metalheads, you have obviously been a part of a very different experience to me, see 40+yrs ago we welcomed others with open arms because we wanted the music to be heard, enjoyed and above all else piss tippa gore and her PMRC off with lyrics like those in slayers angel of death where the band were accused of glorifying nazi Germany 🫣. I don't know how old you are but our music is a thing of beauty, often intelligent and very historically accurate if you do some research, metal should be shared and heard by the masses because, well let's face it, it's better than listening to Taylor swift warbling about her latest break up with a low life 🤣. Also metal and hip hop are very similar in that they draw influences from real life society and social issues, I'm not a rap fan but I do quite like the metal songs mixed with rap artists, they mix well (maybe speak to anthrax about their lack of inclusivity 🤷🏻‍♀️) If you're not inclusive of bring new people in to hear metal and get enjoyment out of it then shame on you, the only way to ensure the survival of metal is to have listeners when those new people aren't allowed to come in because people like you slam the door shut, well then eventually metal dies with us. It's your move but realise this, if you keep the door closed on new listener's because they were into a different genre of music that you personally don't like then metal will disappear for future generations. In the 80's &90's we worked hard to show society that we as kids were just trying to enjoy our music like they did in the 50's and 60's with "Elvis the pelvis" being banned from TV waist down 🤣 and that we weren't devil worshippers. We went through that shit so metal could be a glorious thing for future generations and so we could just keep doing our thing in peace, not so people like you could stop others from the discovery of something wonderful and freeing. If anyone is not welcome in the metal community it's people like you who act like gollum in lord of the rings and metal is "my precious" sort it out lad.

@@senga21lisa Really? I can remember quite a few " posers" back in the day that would disagree after being shown the door. Dont get on your hi horse and presume to speak for all of us as you've intimated, you dont. We're probably about the same age give or take so dont presume to think you can preach about days gone by either. Secondly, theres a reason there are so many reaction channels now, its a grift, using metal & gullible headbangers to coin it. Do you honestly think all these rappers turn the camera off and bang to Slayer? grow up! They're here to make money, and they use metal to milk it. I find that offensive. But what I find more offensive is is idiots like you that are so desperate & yet think they speak for headbangers. You dont!

For another Slayer suggestion, "War Ensemble" from the same album as this song is a banger; I'll add Overkill's "Bare Bones" from Horrorscope (1991), "Betrayer" by Kreator (a German Thrash band), and "Them Bones" by Alice In Chains which ain't fast but it's gloriously heavy. I never thought I would enjoy seeing someone’s first reaction to one of my favorite bands, and as much as I love Dave and he technically is one of my teachers. You should hear his replacement on the divine intervention album.

You should watch the whole Repentless Killogy. I got to see it in theaters. I'll never forget how freaked out all the families were coming out of the theater to a bunch of Slayer fans emerging out of the dark parking lot screaming "SLLAAAAYYEERR!!!!!" at the top of their lungs. 🤣 The theater seating was ripped apart too. Good times! 🤘🖤🤘

Can't believe people are are messing with you getting into and exploring metal. Ever since I discovered iron maiden in the early eighties, one of my biggest thrills has been playing music I've loved for decades for people who have never heard it before and watching the reactions. Not everyone gets it, but some do and i get to remember what it was to hear these songs for the first time when people react positively. To hell with the haters. Glad you are open to new music and I get a kick watching you react to the greatest music ever made. Good job and keep it up!!!!

I"ve got my almost 8yo daughter hooked on Slayer. Everytime we get in the car, it's "Daddy.. put on some Slayer!" This is her favorite song, and the way she yells "INSAAAAAAANE" from the back seat makes this crusty ol' sumbish want to tear up.

Like others have said ignore the haters, almost every other genre of music from Classical to Jazz to Punk has them, Metal is no exception unfortunately but don't let that discourage you. You'll find there are far more of us Metal nerds who will be more than happy to make suggestions and get you into the good stuff. As for Slayer, the vocals changed to this style on the South of Heaven album so it's a safe bet any Slayer song from 1988 onwards will have more tolerable vocals. And Dave Lombardo is one of the greatest drummers not just in Metal but in general, you can always tell it's him playing, he really has his own style.
