Sack Adobe, you're already using Resolve to convert, stick with it and use it to edit as well. It's just as powerful, and in some cases even more useful than the Adobe suite (also a hell of a lot cheaper). @@The-Celestial Power and Speed are different things for these cards. yes, they're monstrously more powerful than Titan RTX, but they're also slower clock speeds. What makes them more expensive is the number of Cuda Cores they have VS the clock speed of gaming cards. Game specific graphics cards have extremely high clock speeds, and put off a lot of heat as a result. But by having higher speeds at the sacrifice of having fewer cores, means that they're within an at least sensible price range. the Quadro cards mean while, are meant for video production and CGI, and cost multiple thousands of dollars each. that high cost comes from the massive core counts among other things in the cards, but have slower clock speeds. so they're actually going to be comparable to RTX 3080s in terms of their actual performance. Now for the reason they do this. the Slow clock speed is for accuracy. These cards are for CGI rendering as well as simulations. Programs that require highly accurate performance. Gaming cards sacrifice some of their accuracy by having higher clock speeds. Though, the most you'll see is a few off pixels in one or two frames, which will go completely unnoticed while gaming. But for a program relying on every number crunch being perfectly accurate to even function, it's very important. Especially in high end simulations. Which also require a TON of Vram. which Quadro cards also have a ton of. Since the video mentioned these specific cards have 24 gigs of Vram each. some go up to 64 gigs of Vram.

@asgart164 жыл бұрын
@@axeldrake6483 Wrong. The maximum bitrate of a typical Blu-ray Disc is 53,95 Mbit/s. Most movies "only" use about 40 Mbit/s. So, if you got a digital video with 50 Mbit/s or higher, it would look better than on Blu-ray. The only exception would be UHD Blu-ray discs, which could theoretically go up to 120 Mbit/s, but no movie ever used all of it to my knowledge, with many UHD movies using just about 44 Mbit/s and a few going up to 80 Mbit/s. You could just master digital files in 150 Mbit/s, since I believe the RAW files of a Phantom go even higher than that, but at that point you just got diminishing returns, since the files get really large without great picture quality upgrades.

Call me an apple hater, but this video is perfect for showing all the "flaws" that apple's hardware and software suffer from. The most powerful Mac is no match for a super fast custom PC. LTT themselves built a PC that is both more powerful and cheaper!

@Charlie Vetsworth some people make me laugh, when they are unsatisfied with the product but still use it for whatever reason. if i were you, i'd encourage him by getting him some non-apple products, maybe start with a nice well-speced custom PC, then an android phone, then... okay no i'm mostly joking, you don't have to spoil him unless you want to :p but it might be good for him for you to give him a small push away from the apple ecosystem.

Hell, I'm an Apple User and well aware. I'm a Graphic & Web Designer with a pretty maxed out 2012 Mac Pro 5,,1 which serves me well enough. But that custom box is a right proper MONSTER. I just blanch to think what a New MP - which has frankly dodgy cost to performance ratios, even if engineered to a fare-thee-well - at those INSANE specs would cost. Well done, Puget systems.

To whoever that yell at Puget Systems about AMD's TRX40 and shitting on Intel. You guys didn't catch the clue - Thunderbolt 3 connection. And Resolve is mostly a GPU workflow, and Premiere Pro's update has added proper hardware encoding to its software. So the platform choice is not a problem.

@@garyruss3529 I thought that too then realised he doesn't need it. He's not overclocking anything, so the built in cooling will be nearly sufficient, and it has additional fans ontop of that, so it should be fine. I'm just fascinated to see that Gavin also had the horrendous locking up problem on that Mac Pro (trashcan edition). I still have mine and it's driven me nuts ever since the beginning and still continues to lock up daily. Fun times at Apple had me experience a month without my mac, them changing parts, and still never truly fixed the issue and wouldn't just exchange the computer. So fun. I'll be upgrading my computer soon and building one or just choosing parts.
