Thanks! A lot of people see ant vids from ants aus and ants Canada and find it interesting, but don’t know how and when to start. This really clears it all up, and hopefully inspires people to get started with keeping ants. Nice job!

Nice video. I like the short history section. Thanks for educating about the dangers of releasing potentially invasive species, I think there are a lot of people who don't fully see the risk. Regarding the title, technically "uprising" is not correct, since it seems to only refer to rebellions. It should be "rising". Small detail though. Thanks again for the vid!

What happens if the queen is the same species that lives in your state but you got her from a nearby state?(right next to. So like I live in Illinois so like idk Wisconsin.)
@EnderAnts4 жыл бұрын
State laws are different for every state. But I remember a forum post asking a similar question to this. People said that it is still illegal as you are transporting them across state lines.

Hi, you probably aren’t going to see this but I think some of this information is outdated or incorrect. In the US, it’s legal to ship ants across state borders, but not to import or export them out of the country. There are of course regulations to shipping ants (only shipping to native states, sending the buyer a permit for the species, not releasing them, etc.) , but it’s okay to do if the shop follows the regulations and has the correct permits. Love the content, but that was just something I noticed! 💜

i recently bought an ausants fiunding nest for my small colony on lasius and was wondering weather to get a ytong/hebel nest or a hybrid nest from ants canada once my colony outgrows this smaler nest. Would appreciate any advice, thanks
@EnderAnts5 жыл бұрын
I’d recommend a TarheelAnts formicarium if you’re in the US (since shipping international is more pricier). Or you can get a larger nest from AusAnts since they have both ytong and acrylic nests. AntsCanada’s nests cost much more compared to the other ones mentioned, but I’ll have to check if their newer nests have dropped in price.
