My parents had castors that raised and lowered inside the legs of a dining table, 60 years ago.

Why do you make me work so hard to find the load capacity? It's 500lbs, for anyone else who wants to know.
@kevinnathanson68768 күн бұрын
Back in my younger days that wouldn't be an issue, but I know for a fact that I am not capable of lifting 200 to 250lbs high enough to activate these; that is why the pedal-type or Zambus-type casters are better for heavy loads. Even my wood bench, which is lighter than my assembly table or welding table, is over 400lbs.

Weird only took me 2 seconds on their web site to find that information. R7 500 lbs and R8 800 lbs per set.

Very cool indeed! If hit a pocket, hole, expansion gap, etc. while rolling will they retract?
@rmc27019 күн бұрын
Hi Justin, thank you for the comment. No, the wheels will follow the contour of the floor. To have them retract will take approximatly 5/8" of deflection from the wheel to the leg. This would be a very large hole or crack in the floor surface. Please keep in mind that both wheels would have to be in this deflection(crack or or hole) on one side of the bench to allow the other side to disengage. Your welcome to contact me at: bob@retractablecaster.com to discuss in more detail. Hope this answers your question.

It's seems easy with an empty bench. How a my suppose to lift a one full of tools?! It looks great at first, i thought to use in on a kitchen island but - when it will be full of stuff lifting it would be one heck of a task...

Empty my bench is somewhere in the 450-500lb range. With the drawers full it could easily add another 150-200lbs. But in my case lifting to engage/disengage the casters isn't very effective because the benchtop is so heavy that it's not even attached to the base.

Need some triangulation or better joints on that workbench. I'd say it's damn near useless?

It seems to be more of a desk rather than a workbench.

Given the fact you are trying to sell a product here, it sure would be nice, if you were to put a link, to that product, in the video description. So your viewers don't have to open a new tab and hope to spell the address correctly. You need to remember, we are your potential customers, so it's wise to make life easy for us.

Great design. It's like a magic trick.

Consider putting a link to your website like many (most?) others do. I wonder how this simple adjustment leads to higher likelihood of a sale.

Thank You, Noted and done!

I would put a whole lot more faith into these casters if the video showed a real workbench instead of a makeshift one that wobbles when you push on the sides. Real benches are heavy. I have to wonder how well the casters would hold up under heavy load.

They look flimsy but also that mechanism wont last.
