You know I've never understood why ALL manufacturers don't include an ancillary USB (A, B or C) port incorporated into the rear view mirror assembly so drivers wouldn't have to run cables down sides of the screen and or have them dangling down? Cheers

Because the data needs to be recorded on the master device, so that the time node can be unified

I love the videos, Jim; which one did you prefer, Botslab 360 or Akeeyo? Is there any other dash I should look at? Keep up the excellent work.

I think this Akeeyo perhaps shades it but they're the two best that I've tested to date I'd say.

Great question! I think both have their perks, but I’m leaning towards the Akeeyo for its advanced features. Definitely looking forward to more of Jim’s awesome reviews-always helpful in picking the right gear!

Most dashcams have the same issue, they are designed to hang from the bracket, so you get massive windscreen refection, if they mounted on the dash then they would have the refection, or build in a polariser filter.

I would be worried about accidently leaving the front camera in the car.. looks like something someone would like to steal!

You’d need a decent tool to get it off the windscreen. It’s a fit and forget product, not something you remove.

That’s a valid concern! But one of a dash cam is to help protect your car from theft or accidents. Most dash cams, including this one, come with parking mode to monitor while you're away, so even if someone tries to tamper with it, it’ll record the incident!
