This is one of my favourite albums. This and Adore. So underrated the pair of them …

What are your favorite songs from each album?
@xs484 жыл бұрын
Exactly the same for me. Love both this album and Adore.

I feel like Adore gets proper respect from most SP fans. Machina though gets ignored for all but the most ardent fans

@@benbrennan4953 from Adore my favourites are in no particular order, Behold The Nightmare, 17 and For Martha. Machina? Pretty much the whole album. My wedding vowels were “Stand Inside your Love” …

@@shabustinkslol absolutely correct … and I don’t understand why.

There you are As you always were In bathing light And naked blur You're a part of me Eternal one By grand design And setting sun If you wait I will wait Taste I will taste If you love I will love Run I will run To my last breath Last night I turned around and thought I saw myself turning Inside the strangest dream of life unloved and cities burning Awake in my arms You cry unharmed Our age of the hours While they still devour all So take it all I doubt if we Will know it's gone Cause we've been here Since time began Begged God awake and make these plans Wound opens Reveal this broken man And soon there's notions of blood in his hands If you wait I will wait Taste I will taste If you love I will love Run I will run To my last breath Last night I turned around and saw myself turning Last night I turned around and thought I watched the world endind Inside the crushing down I felt a pang the tide was turning Destroyed in the wake The jealous ingrates Who'll tear this world down To spite God above With his own love With his own love If you wait I will wait Taste I will taste If you love I will love Run I will run To my last breath

An album i dismissed but lately ( 18 years later) i feel a need to listen to it.. Its so obvious now. It was exactly what it was supposed to be. A footnote to an end of an era. tragic and overblown and reflective and of the moment....and most of all...honest & real

Hmm I completely disagree...the production on this album to me is the ultimate realization of the Pumpkins' wall of sound...complete worlds of ambience. I think they adjusted very well for the new millennium
@FirthofFifth12 жыл бұрын
Surely Machina as it was released is a horror. However, the acoustic demos I think show that it contains his best songwriting to date, almost certainly. More honest than the Siamese/Mellon Collie era, but he just got some funny production ideas once in the studio...
