GREAT SONG Carl! I absolutely love this one and I have struggled to learn it. I try to learn songs the old generation X way, by ear...but sometimes that is a challenge in itself, this song for example. Thank you for clarifying some of the parts I struggled with! You are a great teacher. I teach guitar, but only beginner guitar. Many of my students want to walk before they learn to crawl...and some want to run first lol. "Can you teach me to play this song?....". I try to sympathize with them and remember back when I first started playing. I really wanted to be able to just pick up the guitar and play a killer riff I knew, even if I barely could play simple chords and didn't know the notes on the fretboard or why a C chord was called one...lol

Hi Carl, finding your channel is my favorite take away for '24. And when the camera zoomed out and I saw Ted for the first time I couldn't stop smiling about how resourceful you guys must be. If you can make a couple end of year podcasts of more stories that would make for some great inspration over then holiday season as we all chart our guitar plans for '25.

I think he goes into a line 6 but I’m not sure. As all Carl’s tones are spot on. I know what you’re saying though even if you can play the song and the tone is wrong it’s just no fun to play.

It’s a lot of work doing those videos all we see is him teaching us the song so I’m just grateful that I’ve been following him for years and learning something but yes it’s definitely better when you can get the tone somewhat near to the song your trying to play.
