His vocals!!! His tuning!!! If you listen to Jeff Buckley’s cover - and he is a hardcore consummate vocal angel - it makes one really appreciate Mos’s voice.

Better than the record.

yes the singing and guitar are both more electric. The Smiths sound their best on this record.

Moz was great then as he is now - I get the impression he is most likely not the most charming of men in actuality - but I have always dug the way he speaks his mind and supports what he believes in whether it's popular with his fans or not - got to give him props for sticking to his guns.

Rank es uno de los mejores discos en directo que he escuchado nunca.Aunque Morrisey no lo entendía igual, para mí Rank es una obra de arte. Grandes the Smiths.

Wen my daughter asked me wats a crooner n wat is the difference between a crooner n a singer. I showed her this n the outtro especially. The last 230ish or so n told her see, thats crooning. A crooner can be an excellent singer as well but a singer can't necessarily b a good or even able crooner. Elvis could do both. Sinatra too. But in modern day only Moz exist as the best of them. Ontop of incredible lyrics. Like a novelists who is a great storyteller n writer. He can learn the latter if he is raw but the former has to be there already like an intangible bc it can't really be taught. U can learn how to sing but to croon?? Imho, no. Btw, i know he doesn't care but if the minimum requirement for the RnR HofF is 25 yrs in the biz n 3 classic albums at least well Moz has 3 with The Smiths AND 3 to 4 solo. As well as one of the Top 10 lyricists ever.
