Donated to the First Responders Children's Foundation. To make sure the children of all these "bad cops" who are killed in the line of duty protecting others are taken care of. These poor kids will grow up without a parent because they died protecting others.

Love the title 🙌 been in the streets fighting police brutality for over 15 years now. Most of these people upset hadn't even heard of ACAB til last year. Already loved what you're doing with the channel, but I got a little cherry on top today.
@nicojar3 жыл бұрын
This slogan is older than you, and it always was irrelevant, that's why no one ever cared. Being rebellious, radical, uneducated, insulting and disrespectful toward the very people who make it possible that you aren't a rape victim, rather than a rich kid with a computer complaining about the society that fed him, is the most ridiculous statement ever made. "acab" just means you aren't that smart, and that you didn't learn to make the nuance between "some cops are bad, we should fight the corruption and enforce the law" and "we need to insult all cops because the system sucks". Same nuance between a sigh and a fart. ;) So yeah - people heard about your fart a long time ago, you can keep farting, you're not part of what will make things change. That's why you've been doing this for 15 years without a result. =)
@raconte.boutique3 жыл бұрын
@@nicojar hey Nicolas, you’re being disrespectful. Also, Police don’t prevent rapes (go ahead and check, I can wait). So maybe pick a different example for your already flimsy argument.
@martyhjacobs6 ай бұрын
This is a beautifully executed card change by a talented magician. However, I encourage Elliot to consider a more neutral name for it that does not reference sensitive political or social issues. ACAB is a slur that originated in the UK as a way to taunt the police. In other words, it is regularly used to incite violence. This is just as insensitive as calling it the "Katrina Change". Of course, I'm disgusted by police brutality and the failings of law enforcement. I live in a country where institutional racism in the police force is accepted as fact. In short, this is an issue that needs to be addressed. However, calling this the "ACABracadabra Change" really doesn't help matters. It simply makes it difficult for me to correctly credit the move without aligning myself with a misguided political ideology. While Elliot is entitled to express his personal views, using a name that could be seen as insensitive or divisive will alienate many magicians and prevent them from fully appreciating the technical skill on display. Perhaps a more general or descriptive name would be more appropriate, one that focuses on the magic itself rather than making a political statement. The tutorial is excellent, and I believe the change would be better served by a title that brings people together rather than pushes them apart. Personally, I'll be calling this the "Terral Change".
@grafforlok84223 жыл бұрын
So he stopped calling it the Katrina change out of respect for hurricane victims and renamed it ACABradabra because he would rather disrespect every police officer on earth. Dick move. Eff this guy and shame on you for promoting it.
@raconte.boutique3 жыл бұрын
A hurricane is an act of nature and the victims were *victims*. Police are not victims. They are footsoldiers of oppression by nature of their job. Are all of them bad people? Of course not. But they all participate in an astoundingly broken system of mass incarceration that perpetuates injustice and inequality.
