I have a very fun story. I performed magic for a woman name Kirby cook. Her grandfather was John brown cook. John was Arthur’s best friend in magic. She loved me so much she found a first edition of gems of mental magic with us part of the Buckley trilogy. I have the book owned by John who was co writer of Arthur’s books. I will NEVER stop bragging about this

your introduction was really well put, your performance muscle is RIPPED :) So, I'm by absolutely no means a good sleight of hand dude, but catched the bug several years ago, I just wanted to learn the bridge American shuffle at the start, ended up on 52kard and various tutorial channels... several weeks later, so completely unqualified to do sleights in front of people, I started showing tricks to my colleagues, and yeah, the only thing I got, if I did not messed up, was exactly that: "how did you do that?" and... because I was fascinated by the mechanics and only knew one thing or two, yeah... I started showing basic principles /moves to them: "you do dis, hold'em like dat and tadaa!"... really not my proudest moment when I look back especially considering how trash I was at the moves anyways... but I quickly realized that it was not what I wanted to share, so I stopped, started to practice more, only to be half decent because I realized, as hours of training went by, that I was by no means good at it...^^ but eventually the day to " " "perform" " " again came, and I got SO nervous to do routines in front of people that I started SHAKING literally, in front of people, yet the same people as before, people I've known for years so WTF is going on? well, I started to really care about the craft... that's why. In the meantime I watched basically all the Penn and Teller shows and random magic content on YT, stumbled upon amazing artists and realized that magic is not "do a bunch of fast or deceptive moves", it's really how Perseus described it, real Magic should last, it should be meaningful, it should make you completely forget about methods. Exactly as you said, in magic if you put all your XP points to your sleight of hand level, you wont be a proper magician with just that, you need to upgrade your persona level too, maybe even more than your sleight of hand stats. Anyway, what did I got after my attempts? the same reaction as before: "how did you do that?" with a smile that I took as a smile of complaisance. So I completely stopped doing tricks (I'll never call it "magic" what I did) , for the sake of the art ^^ I remember also Vinh Giang several years ago, he was doing magic content but focused on the showmanship aspect, and brilliantly demonstrated that sleights are just a tool to create magic and connecting with people, and he is goddamn right ^^ (a shame he deleted all of his old content honestly...)

If I roll a dice where I am you could only guess and maybe be correct once in a guess. But if I roll and I do not share the result. You anyone will never know and I pick the dice up and the result will never of been shared but I would know the digit if I even glance. I'm not sure why not knowing the result of a rolled dice is specifically called some which has been said as erdnase. So eednase by my understanding or definition is well you don't know what it is why call it erdnase well I cannot answer that I think it's a little silly and a case of dyslexia. Now if I roll a smaller dice like a dice with 4 resulting results then yeah it is easier to maybe be correct about what will be shown after any roll. Well if increase that dice to 20 or even a hundred then the probability of someone else guessing what my dice is is not very likely. 6s are bearable so what's the next lowest dice after six sided dice. I'm fine with rolling a dice in front of u a sharing the result so that's me saying I your nice. Anywho I believe ten sided dice are the next. So at ten the at least probability or u just take a guess. I have no desire to guess the result of a d10 let alone d6s. So erdnase only means u wouldn't know. So if I don't understand you but I want to I could bring up erdnase or say erdnase now this a silly case of dyslexia and I believe can be improvised with. In a way it is as frustrating as trying to roll a certain Number on a dice on purpose and the increase of a dices count only increases this. Frustration. I've considered that. And u know How to correctly communicate is perhaps the interest. And maybe now I shouldn't bring up mentalism. So I shared what I shared.it is quite dangerous now.
@cashewsnowar-tg9ol3 ай бұрын
It's funny you picked up that book. With dice on the cover. I just oddly enough shared with you Jeremy what e a t c t well what my take on it is. The fun thing is being able to communicate and here's how we sorta . We do that looking to connect. Now back to the thing about this I'm book. Listen here Griffith. If I roll a dice and this is a part of mentalism as I know it. Aost like flipping a coin which is a incorrect two sided dice. Now if I roll a dice where I am. You won't know what is face up on the dice that I roll but if I tell you what it was then now you know what is face up on the dice. So. I use d6s or six sided dice. As a mentalist. Looking connect with who. O here's something very interesting. I'm going to I guess reveal to you what the illuminate it all seeing eye is all about and it quite simple. I found it nagging back when I didn't know what it was about. Ok so the eye on the bill or the eyes of the faces on the bills but take. A look. That eye is now a real eye therefore cannot or does not actually see anything now the day when that eye actually opens and sees something will be the Illuminati it hasn't happened yet. But here the other part to that eye. The yellow hydrants r like rays of shine around that fake eye. Fake heads as well. And so the hydrants like fake rays or symbolized the fake sight of the fake eye. So if I don't understand I can tell you no I don't get it Jeremy and I mean it like the fake eye that doesn't see I just don't. So now I pull out fake rays and go into finding out what u mean. If I don't quite understand so this is how to explain or explanation. If I don't know and I would to or I am interested I can let.you know. To further explain. So I wonder what can be used to let u know I I get what your saying now. That was interesting but I'm more at the civitwar myself. U brought ww2 I believe. Either way. What could that be.

Let me tell clarify and your hatred for of that pile of papers is well noticable. I have heard the tell of that pile of papers but I'll tell you the spine of those papers are. Unbelievably weak. Now the tales of well what those all mean are actually what is the provided phrase. Smoke and mirrors. What mean by that is what is on the papers each and every one is oy what this all that is about. So smoke conceals the mirror and the if like the enlightenment of what it all means and what we want to know if only we could see the mirror through. The smoke. Ah yes the phrase is waiting for the smoke to clear or dust to settle. I've heard the tells of suggestion from this smoke and mirrors but I don't or I am not fooled as to well what this all means. Now if you believe or suppose that that literature is all about card handling well then you r fooled and maybe this is the one trick. I understand the suggestion and really the smoke in front of the blue mirror. However I have taken all of that book. Weak spine to be. Idk if biking builds alone strength. Actually about. Mentalism. quick jot mentalism is encouragement to others to speak what they actually want to say. There was a consideration but I won't get into that. So at the end of the mentalism course being a mentalist. It like a switch and I turn or I do it on when I want but I also know when it shouldn't be turned on. This is about as much as I can say in typing only. So yeah just sharing and I take as a mentalism course. I guess further explanation would be required. So no always deflect the claim of e a t c t. But here's I started I told myself that really this book about being a expert at operating vehicles. And people who don't use cards are really good are experts actually at operating vehicles and vehicles r their card table. That's how I started.silly untrue and misleading the whole way through. Anywho reapproach helps.

In the interview he said, "if you have time to watch tv, you have time to practice." I've been taking his advice and practicing the pass while watching TV. It's fun getting to the point where I'm staring at the deck in my hands while doing the move and it's just... done. The top and bottom packets have switched places. It's surreal.

You know. that before I watched this video. I had purchased two decks of aviator cards. One red and the other blue. I picked up aviation aviary because I had taken two planes to get to somewhere. And also before I watch this video I had opened the blue deck and played faro with someone.i won. I always win at faro. That was with the blue or a deck of blue aviators they got a bit effort applied. If you noticed there is a red aviator poster in this video. Which I specifically avoided because of my up bringing. And if I did that red aviator poster would of been a leviathan dragging me down into the abyss. Down down deep I would of went. Been drug by the jaws of a serpent of the water which can take to the air as well. If it wanted to but leviathan s don't like to show there faces so under water they usually reside. A deck in full deck order is a leviathan.

Lots of nice thoughts here. It's worth developing a habit of controlling top and bottom for sure. Certainly a good thing to have on auto pilot. If I may--protecting a slug on top, the last few cards dropping as a block is actually a tell and a habit worth breaking. When we naturally riffle shuffle the last few cards drop off the thumbs like all the other cards. They are not placed down on top...they are riffled off. It is likely that you know this and it is part of the advanced work you alluded to. But just in case...we should all work to have all the cards riffle off the thumbs at a natural pace. The last few cards getting placed down instead of riffled off is a good way to spot chicanery.

Awesome video. Nicely executed. I have to say that the use of this by magicians such as Ortiz, and Ladayne and others always results in amazing stress in the left hand that, to me, telegraphs a move more than other "get-ready" type moves.

This is a beautifully executed card change by a talented magician. However, I encourage Elliot to consider a more neutral name for it that does not reference sensitive political or social issues. ACAB is a slur that originated in the UK as a way to taunt the police. In other words, it is regularly used to incite violence. This is just as insensitive as calling it the "Katrina Change". Of course, I'm disgusted by police brutality and the failings of law enforcement. I live in a country where institutional racism in the police force is accepted as fact. In short, this is an issue that needs to be addressed. However, calling this the "ACABracadabra Change" really doesn't help matters. It simply makes it difficult for me to correctly credit the move without aligning myself with a misguided political ideology. While Elliot is entitled to express his personal views, using a name that could be seen as insensitive or divisive will alienate many magicians and prevent them from fully appreciating the technical skill on display. Perhaps a more general or descriptive name would be more appropriate, one that focuses on the magic itself rather than making a political statement. The tutorial is excellent, and I believe the change would be better served by a title that brings people together rather than pushes them apart. Personally, I'll be calling this the "Terral Change".
