I love the ghost series! (It's my favorite one). In spite of that, I feel like it might be a better idea to move on to another challenge and leave it on a high note. The concept of only stopping after 2 MMR losses in a row is dragging the series on longer than I feel it should be going. I feel like we know what to expect right now from this series so I'd prefer to see entirely new strategies within a new series. I think leaving on a high note and then having special episodes where you revisit challenges could be fun. For example, maybe during Christmas time, you do a full 7 hour stream ghost to Grandmaster speedrun.

Even if you abandon the achieving GM part of the challenge, I think we will always enjoy the occasional random Banger of a mass ghosts and nuke fest. Seriously. This is some of the most entertaining SC2 I’ve seen in a very long time.

After a while following through mass ghost & mass hellion/raven, I would like to see your performance/analysis of you on tournament also. Might as well consider a Vlog series about tourneys also? It will be very nice to follow through the fav pro players in real competition too.

That would be pretty cool actually. Perhaps the series could be your break down of the games in the tournament, including your own. Also, what about guests and guest commentary? If they weren't native terrans, perhaps you could trade races and use each other's build orders.

I think, vs all ghost, that a really good strategy would be burrowed banelings. Since the ghost army has to move around, usually uncloaked, the burrowed banes, in small numbers, would destroy the roving army. Now that is watching how uThermal plays, but that is just the point. If someone played with burrowed land mines throughout his creep, uThermal would have a very hard time. In addition, having a combination of spore/spine crawler defenses would help against the nukes. It would not be a full defense, but random spore/spines throughout the creep would seriously curtail the nuking ghost movement.

I think the zerg game showed the problem of not having access to the hellion against lings with speed. I'm watching your raven + hellion vids as well so the games are fresh in my mind :) All credit to the player though, really well executed indeed.

The ghost biomass with one Raven is great for clearing creep, I added three or four Marauders to my ghost bioball last night and managed to clean up two different players army with very little damage to me. Nukes are my favorite answer for high ground tanks

@22:10 you could have sniped all his overseers. This would immediately force him to back foot. Snipe on queen as next move or cloak-and-nuke would be a good next-step after that, and a good punishment for clumping the overlords. (Though they likely wouldn't make the same mistake twice, it's something you could exploit) that said was genuinely great and had the number and played great. Your splits and micro was good, esp. the medievac pickups and trying to keep ghost count high.

Great video as always. I have to say TvZ is my favourite matchup. There isnt anything much more satisfying, like seeing queens getting sniped, drones melted by helions and ton of zergling blown up by tanks. Highly cinematic and I like that very much. Would love to ask 2 questions. What is your favourite match up? and would ghost opening be normally viable? or are they just so slow to get up running so the other meta openings are just far better?

You know what would be fun? Having you go 1 v 5 or 6 people but they all have to use one of your challenge builds. That way you end up facing a mass ghost, mass raven, a bong cloud, and a penguin brothers. I'd volunteer, you'd probably wipe the floor with me because I am not good at starcraft but it would be fun!

Seeing as 30k is coming like a freight train, here's a suggestion for the commemorating event: a holdout tournament. Lucky viewers chip money into a pool and get to play against Marc. Whoever dies last gets the pool. "Die" should get a reasonable definition, so that the game doesn't turn into chasing last sneaky unit, of course.

The second game I think uthermo did nothing to pressure the zerg, it's basically a free game for him economically, and uth did mention when you don't harass, opponent will always perform one league above his ablity.

did the second zerg mind-trick you? you saw him going for roaches and made more barracks, while he didn't make any roaches and got enough bases with nice economy he made a million units and won? i'm not saying that's what he did, i'm just asking if i got it right. it felt like he was too much ahead and had to be damaged earlier? nonetheless, love the episode. back to watch the 3rd game. gl. lol btw, for the finale, plz show us phase 2 and 3 as well. i wonder what you planned to do for them exactly and how much life would have been easier. good job as always. edit: extremely glad you won the 3rd game easily. just saying.

The zerg in 2nd game didn't mind trick him. He went for 3 rax cuz he is on 3 base and also he couldn't have a 4th base that fast to saturate so adding barracks is totally fine. It's just that zerg got away with greed because no scouting at the midgame after the 3rd hatch goes down.

WAIT.. what, noone ever have done 1 vs 7 AI hardest level.. I did that challange many years ago, playing Terran vs 7 random hardest AI, all I had to o what wall in and make a perfect wall of siegetank fire.. after a while I went to Battle Cruisers as my attack fleet and only had a few of those out to kill of enemy structures here and there.. - it was a solid strategi.. But it was also on StarCraft 1.. :D

What about handicapping your supply, but being allowed to build anything? Say your supply cannot exceed 125. Playing against Gold or lower ELO, but giving yourself a random 'mutation' like they have in Co-Op, such as not being able to build vision, halving supply or not being able to upgrade?
