Dont believe Young Guys are better as a standard... In fact it should be more the opposite. (Over 60, this is another topic)
@Blyegh8 ай бұрын
@@time608 Lately I’ve been questioning that, because while the older shredders paved the way for younger shredders to run freely, young folks have the ability to look at any footage of any guitarist, or even look up free training videos on social media, to see how to expand their list of techniques or improve ones that were already learned. And they’re learning a lot more than just pentatonic scales, harmonic minor scales, and mixolydian scales. I’m not honestly sure anymore how both sides match up overall with one-another.
@time6088 ай бұрын
@@Blyegh I definitely agree with you there. On average, younger guitarists definitely have more repertoire, but do they have more feeling as a result? I myself have trained people on the drums for 10 years and through that the basics have become second nature to me, so that I can play in my head, just like in reality. Of course, I have not learned many different techniques, but what I can do, I can really out of me and not as a kind of function that I play. Both have advantages and disadvantages. By the way, I just meant that you shouldn't assume that every old person can do less, or even that everything modern is better. Good I wish you. I'm 35 just so on the sidelines, so right between old and young ;)
@theholymackerel0728 ай бұрын
He’s the exact right age. Ozzy is 77 years old.
@Blyegh8 ай бұрын
@@time608 I just find the differences between both demographic nowadays a bit fascinating. Not that it really matters all that much which crowd is better. In any case, it’s pretty rad seeing the evolution of players everywhere, where more people can access higher levels of training without leaving their homes and stuff. Even I feel fear when I’m trying to compete against an 11-year-old guitar/bass prodigy, and I’ve been alive over twice as long! It blows my mind…
