@@Dogesman Oh you mean Project '06. Yeah it's great. I wish they would re-do the story too. I'm one of the few people who think that, despite the truly terrible execution, the very core of Elise's character is interesting, and could easily be reworked into something good. Like, well first remove the romance aspect. Obviously. Next I was thinking that, since Iblis gets released if she cries, she could have grown to be cold, and show no emotion. But Sonic being Sonic could teach her to live a little. Also, since she forces herself to show no emotion, she could look completely unimpressed whenever Eggman threatens her and maybe even give some sharp comebacks to him, still with an unimpressed stare and tone, for the comedy throughout the story as she gets inspired by Sonic. I think that, when written this way, Elise could be a good character. And these character traits and her being this way would make sense as the result of Iblis being trapped in her. The burden that she carries and the toll it takes on her as she can't ever cry or else the entire world is destroyed are a lot, and so she would close herself off to prevent this.

Man these last few years have been great for Sonic for the most part. Shadow Generations was just great all around and fixes my complaints with Frontiers and even a bit of the Original Generations. I need the rest of this decade to flow smoothly, we can’t have a mid 2010’s moment again

@@hyperlink0366 Basically after Generations, Sonic Team took the wrong lessons from Generations and made Lost World which was way different from the past 3 Sonic games. Sonic Team leaned in more to the nostalgia than create something truly new. Sega also made Red Button do Sonic Boom but with the Nintendo Wii U deal, they had to port the game there but their engine wasn’t made for it which resulted in it being a buggy mess. Lost World and Boom were both failures especially Boom, to the point to where it hurt Sega financially. They went back to boost with Forces, but stripped most of the fundamental aspects of it and in general it was a safe game. You literally don’t need to actually play much of the game in a lot of the levels. All in all, that game was a failure too especially critically. The only mainline game in the series that was reviewed well after Generations was Sonic Mania for the rest of the 2010’s. That’s why the budget of Sonic games have gone down over the past 8 years. Boom was an expensive spin off series that failed, and Sonic Team were making games that didn’t sell well and/or were received well. It’s thanks to the movies that Sonic has an actual budget now as seen with Shadow Generations. That and Frontiers being a success generally speaking made Sega invest more into Sonic Team, so Sonic games will most likely be of higher quality and bugger budgets for the future

Here's a list of Sonic games with great stories (or at least great lore for some of them): Sonic Adventure Sonic Adventure 2 Sonic Battle Sonic '06 (Shadow and Silver's stories) The first two Sonic Riders games Sonic Unleashed Sonic Chronicles : The Dark Brotherhood Sonic and the Black Knight Sonic and the Secret Rings Shadow The Hedgehog Sonic Frontiers I probably missed some. It's pretty hit or miss, but a lot of Sonic games have great stories. I don't know how you ended up here without knowing that. Oh and literally Shadow Generations duh.

A level I wish they implemented is Asteroid Coaster from Sonic Colors. Yes Shadow doesn't have ties to this level... in the Wii version. In the DS version (the superior one if you ask me), he is in Asteroid Coaster with Omega for the side missions, and at the end of the third one, they discover information about the Nega Mother Wisp and what Eggman did to her. As the name indicates, it's a very "space-y" place, with asteroids, so they could reuse the asteroid models from the Space Colony Ark. And even beyond Shadow's ties to space, he really fits in with the aesthetic of the level. They'd obviously have to bring back the roller coasters, and also the big skeleton dinosaur heads that chase you, with Shadow needing to Chaos Control in order to be able to get away from them. Also it could be a great place to utilize Doom Morph, with Doom Morph maybe being able to cross all that green liquid that's all over the planet. Also Doom Morph basically feels like Shadow's own brand of Wisp Transformation, so it fits.

Sonic X Shadow Generations is a great game. With Sonic Generations already being a great Sonic game as it is and Shadow Generations being a great game with its own unique ideas I'd say that it's worth it to buy this game
