When I worked at Chevron in the 70s and early 80s you used to have to Drive Down Cutting Blvd to get to Chevron..Right through the middle of this SHIT but it wasn't as Bad as it is Now..I think it was in the late 80s they built a by pass Road so you didn't have to go into Richmond....But even in the 90 and now you'd see SHIT going on...One of my Buddies got a good deal on a TV brand new even wrapped in plastic later to find out the box had a few Bricks to make it feel like the TV was in there... Another idiot went down to the Liquor store to cash his check at lunchtime and he was the only White guy there and got Rolled outside..There's was some nice old houses there years ago but it's mostly Slums in North Richmond now...Stay out of Richmond if you want to stay safe...But you have to take the bypass or go through CRACK City if you want to get to the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge...And right across the Bridge is San Quentin home to alot of the Richmond Boys...
