Ralph was a maniac, but he was a smart businessman as well. He could tell here that Artie was bullshitting him and that there was a real risk of this loan being way more trouble than it was worth to him and him not getting his $50k back. No wonder he was the family's biggest earners

It actually wasn’t a smart move. Tony, knowing that Artie wouldn’t be able to pay the loan back, wound up giving him the 50 g’s. Then when Artie couldn’t pay, Tony had Furio collect anyway from the French guy and became part owner of the restaurant. You could say Ralph was moral here but business-wise it was not a smart move
@larrygill22234 жыл бұрын
Michael Springer not necessarily. Even if Ralph did move in as partner, it would never get to that point. He would have to be nice every step of the way, it would never have worked out. Ralph could never intimidate him or raise a hand on him. Tony could say whatever he wanted too and do to him, whatever he wanted too.
@juvenilemafia109 жыл бұрын
This scene was really well-done in showing how, although he was a fucked up psychopath, Ralph was an incredibly cunning and perceptive businessman. The part where they sit down and he is just sitting there looking at Artie waiting for him to start shows that even though he joked and fucked around a lot, he was more serious and sharp than the others when money was involved and able to think two moves ahead. That's why Christopher busted Tony's balls about killing their biggest earner.
