Yeah, happy healthy and genuinely loving marriages are a VERY rare thing on the sopranos. Bobby and Karen, John and Ginny, and ....that’s it. When you see couples that love each other and don’t cheat it really stands out. They’re always written very well too, especially in John and ginny’s case.

Bobby’s marriage to Janice directly correlates with his upward mobility, as she wouldn’t accept her man in anything less than a top tier position. She cleaned up her act a lot while married to Bobby, but without him around or Tony, she would likely really struggle and might flake out on them and just leave them. In some ways, the best thing for those kids would likely be leaving them with Karen's parents if they were still alive or a non-mob family friend. No matter what though, those kids will have been through a lot of trauma losing their mother and father suddenly within just a few years of each other, dealing with Janice, and then likely Janice eventually being the mess that Livia was, or dumping them off and bolting on them.
