That last scene really showed the world how Tony became just like his mother.
@murph88372 жыл бұрын
In what way? In that scene I was it made me think of the time Tonys father had a chance to make a legitimate life in some business out in California . Livia refused to go along with it and threatened to kill the children if Johnny went ahead with it. The guy he was supposed to go into business with ended up a millionaire .

@@murph8837 people like to just hate on tony but a lot of major conflicts in the show are made to be ambiguous so that people have something to debate and to demonstrate that everyone is kind of a scumbag. It's like Phil & Tony's rivalry or how Chris and Tony fell apart

Fun Fact: The song Tony is singing in the shower is off the best-selling album "The Wall" by critically acclaimed British psychedelic/progressive rock band, Pink Floyd. They are regarded as one of the biggest bands ever, and have had a massive influence on music and the industry since their formation. The song is titled "Another Brick in the Shinebox, Pt.2".

In all seriousness she's insane for saying "what I'm entitled to". He was absolutely right with everything he said in the restaurant. She could never work a real job and she knew it, that's why she was okay with everything.

Well not really that insane, she is his wife and therefore entitled to half
@shalashaska9946 Жыл бұрын
@@davidmellish3295 And you don't think that's insane? Just because she married a man and never worked a day in her life she's just entitled to half the money he makes? In what world is that acceptable
@davidmellish3295 Жыл бұрын
@shalashaska9946 in the world we live in that's how it is. Who was bringing up the kids and taking care of the house when he was out getting the money? Marriage is a partnership, if couples split then assets get split,that's how it is. If people aren't prepared to do that then they shouldn't get married
@shalashaska9946 Жыл бұрын
@@davidmellish3295 Yeah it does happen for real but it's still just as wrong. I'm not saying she shouldn't get something, but the idea of half is laughable. It should be a small lump sum to get her through until she can get a job. Alimony is just morally wrong.
@davidmellish3295 Жыл бұрын
@@shalashaska9946 well not necessarily ,take my parents for example. Thankfully they're still together after 52 years but when they met they both had jobs,my mother was a teacher. They had 4 children, so my mum gave up work to look after the home and bring us 4 kids up. My dad worked all hours to pay for his family but he never could have been out earning the money if my mum hadn't taken care of us . That's why if they ever split ( God forbid, but I really can't see it after sll their years together) my mum would be entitled to half of everything as it was a joint effort, her job of bringing children up is actually a lot harder than my dads paying job was . How could my mother have worked as she was looking after us ? Which is a full time job and doesn't have work hours like my dads paying job did. That's the argument, if there are no children, then yes it's different, as the woman ( or whoever looks after the home ) could easily have still worked and earned. But when you are doing the full time job of homemaker it makes it difficult to work and earn,so it's a joint effort, with both partners contributing in their different ways. If one partner has brought up the children then they're entitled to their share,especially if they've been married for years and gone on life's journey together from a relatively young age. Now if the woman marries an already successful man later in life then it's definitely different, but if she's been there from the start, being the rock at home which enables him to go out and earn it's different

Carm probably had a couple hundred grand worth of jewels, clothes and trinkets she could have sold on ebay and used that to get out from under Tony if she really wanted to.
@TheMisterGuy Жыл бұрын
@@BookshelfQBattler I don't think so. Even if Carm got all of Tony's money and property right now, it's still not enough. It just delays the inevitable. What she needs is steady income, and the ability to make and stick to a budget. She has no job, no job skills, and isn't used to having to work. She's also used to a very expensive lifestyle and has no experience getting by on the level of income she could earn on her own. I think a couple hundred thousand dollars between her and her kids would evaporate in less than a year.
