the black crow symbolizes death. the crow being there was a spooky symbol of death being present in the room with Chris and Eugene. to take this one step further, both men lived a life of sin, even in their final moments (Eugene commiting suicide and Chris using drugs before the accident). according to their catholic religion, both men will undoubtably go to hell...so its almost like the cript keeper himself was at this ceremony.

Consider the following: Christopher looks out the window to see the crow the moment burning in Hell for betrayal is mentioned. He is initiated with Eugene, who later becomes an informant. Christopher has a dream of going to Hell, and also several times mentions that he will go to Hell for Tony. Right before he kills JT the writer, he explicitly mentions how he could bring Tony down with one phone call, and the Feds have money to burn. Thereafter you only see him wearing a Cleaver hat. The Feds have used hats as a wire previously in the show, and Cleaver is also Christopher's subconscious revenge fantasy against Tony. You do the math.
